Chit-Chat: the water closet closet

Michigan has ALL schools closed starting Monday. People are bat shit insane for no reason. So my friend who's been staying with me tried going to the store early this morning to get a few things and it's just as crazy as it was yesterday. Like people need to calm the fuck down. It's only a matter of time before they close the mall down where I work.

yeah we have little food in the fridge and almost no toilet paper, so shopping early tomorrow morning will be fun hahaha. definitely not expecting there to be any toilet paper left, hopefully they at least have baby wipes or something...
 
It's kinda funny to me bc my dog's name is similar to Corona so when we talk about it sometimes he gets distracted because he thinks we called him.
But still, if my dad got infected from his work place we're probably all screwed.
 
Most sports events have been suspended due to the virus, and quite rightly so. Unfortunately, certain sports leagues in England have taken advantage of both this and our uncaring government's refusal to ban public gatherings.

Honestly, I do think that going to a public event during a pandemic is just plain selfish. The virus might or might not affect you yourself that much, but the chances are you could end helping to cause the virus to reach someone else who is much more vulnerable.

Honestly at this point, i've become so numb to the news. If there is school....well.....it's a ghost town here. But if school were to be canceled tomorrow, I really wouldn't care. I'd sleep, play on my laptop, play video games, and draw all day. *sigh* But this school is...idk. I saw a video on youtube that said "The world is canceled so play video games" or something along those lines. I wish I could find the video again.
 
I just got a text from my manager saying work is now closed down and not gonna like I actually celebrated. I was ready to do cartwheels down my hallway. Like I'm just tired of people freaking out. OMG work is closed I'm gonna lose everything. First off calm down and wait for answers. People expect answers right away. Take it one step at a time.
 
School may be open again today, but just watch....it'll be closed sooner or later. It's even more of a ghost town today than it was yesterday.

I went to Walmart, and Stop and Shop yesterday, and it was crazy. The shelves at Walmart (the food section) were nearly bare, and the line at Stop and Shop were a hallway long. Then at S&S someone said something about them selling ONE roll of generic toilet paper for a dollar i'm like WHA?

Hey Happy Saint Patricks Day....like it matters. :(
 
Hoping I'll be able to work from home by the end of the week...the level of anxiety this has been causing me is unbelievable. I can barely function at the moment ._.
 
good luck caite, i can only imagine how stressful it is for some people right now x_x

schools closed till after spring break here, so april 20th. we went shopping yesterday and as expected (but still surprising to see since we've never gone through this) a lot of things were completely gone. almost no meat, pasta, sanitation products, and even random things like lemons and oranges/grapefruits. eesh
