    What are your opinions on twerking and grinding? Do you think it's alright for our generation to be doing these actions? Or do you think that it may be misguiding our youth in thinking that these actions are appropriate? Have you twerked or grinded before? If you have, do you really care that you are doing it, or do you think that you get judged for doing it? If you haven't twerked or grinded before, why do you choose not to?
     
    Gross. I have never and will never twerk or grind. The second that somebody I know and am friends with tries to do one of those two things we are no longer friends. Twerking and grinding are dumb and dumb and dumb and I can't think of the other word I was going to use to describe it but it's dumb.
     
    you are your own person and you can do as you please. if one of my friends were to ever twerk or grind for fun, then that's on them and not me. the most I could take out of what they're doing, is a good laugh and entertainment. I wouldn't disown them as a friend for something so meaningless and petty.
     
    In a sexually liberated society, I don't really see the issue... although I suppose then the question moves to whether we actually belong to one. I'd like to think so; even though I don't think it's in good taste, I do think it's probably quite healthy. And if this twerking fad is an indication of such social progression, is it really so bad in the end?
     
    Do people actually do this outside the club? I don't imagine the people that complain about it tend to hit the club too much.

    There's reason for complaint if someone's twerking in the library, I've yet to see that happen though.
     
    It's just the new Elvis hip swivel. I don't see an issue.
     
    I don't see a problem with either, though I don't like twerking at all. That's a personal preference. As for what I've done, I've grinded before, but not twerked. And yes, it was with someone I knew.

    When I went to my prom this year (first prom ever), I sat at a table the whole time because I couldn't find anyone to dance with and I watched a literal grind circle go on for about 45 minutes. The best part was that it transitioned from hardcore-bouncy grinding to slow, rhythmic grinding between fast and slow songs. There were also like 5 teachers nearby who did absolutely nothing about it whatsoever.

    I am never going to prom again.
     
    Personally I'm not a fan of twerking and would never do it myself. However some people look good doing it so. However, it is your life so if you choose to twerk then go ahead. Grinding is pretty much the same deal too. I was a friend's 18th birthday party a few years back and everyone there started grinding. Part of me felt uncomfortable and weirded out as I watched them. It wasn't because I thought grinding was "too sexual" or anything, just the fact that these were the same teens who I saw at the religious youth every week and this said group taught them about modesty and purity and to avoid sexual things. lol. I guess it shows how people can be one person somewhere and be a different person somewhere else. And I've also always found grinding to be weird for whatever reason. Just not something I see myself doing.

    Why would the teachers do anything about it? What business is it of theirs?
     
    People used to think swing dancing was way too sexual and was ruining the youth and etc. etc. Then it was Elvis. Now it's twerking and grinding. I wish we could all just agree that the youth are going to be fine and stop repeating history. You'd think after this cycle has repeated itself enough times people might notice and think "hm, you know, it seems strange to me but it's probably fine considering historical context." Instead they think "I know the historical context but this is different because it makes me uncomfortable!" Thus, the cycle repeats.

    I bet the twerkers and grinders in 20 years will be appalled by how their children dance.
     
    The only time I've danced was during prom, and that's the end of it. Grinding was a must during prom, pretty much. That's practically what everyone did at the time, including myself, but not with others! Just my boyfriend >< Never again...Twerking, I've never really understood the craze, and I have no intentions of ever doing that move.
     
    I don't give a single care about whether anyone wishes to waggle there butt like that. I think it looks really stupid, and I would certainly never do it myself, but I'm not gonna judge anyone who decides to hump the air for no reason. I don't know anyone who does that kinda stuff anyways. Well... that's not entirely true. My dog used to hump the air for no reason at times. That was long before twerking was a thing though. :P
     
    For the record, you have to have a specific kind of butt to twerk. Just saying. Some people with the right assets (cough) can pull it off rather nicely, in my opinion.
     
    Damn. Some of ya'll are so ♥♥♥♥ing vanilla it's amazing.

    I sometimes twerk when I'm in my room. It's hilarious and fun and so funny, especially when you know you can't do it!
