Anime/Manga uguu?

I was literally away for 90% of yesterday and looking back at this thread and the rest of the forum, y'all went crazy drunk and also mangos. (Also weird because in Filipino/Tagalog, the pronouciation of Mango is manga (with a slight accent change somewhat)).

Also KnK movie, I'm definitely going to watch that! I'm not as hyped as some people, but I'm definitely pretty excited about it!

One day I'll count the total, and I'll post it here for all to see. :P

Not gonna post the list that I made last night, but volume count... 450ish volumes, and I probably missed out some titles since some of them are in the containers and it's so hard to take them out right now (the room's currently a mess).

Also, Kyoukai no Kanata, remind me to get that off my backlog.

I love anime movies, but I hate that it takes forever till whenever the blu ray release till we get to see it ;-; Free! movie come faster.

Wait, I thought that was the joke. [/oh Amuricah]

Anyway, I'll watch the movie. Cuz Hiroomi

I generally dislike clip-show anime movies...they're lazy, and they often cut out some of the best parts. As amazing as the extended fight sequences in the Gurren Lagann movies were, for example, they took out so much of the plot I often forgot what I was watching and why I should care.
I was the opposite. While I've only seen the show once (well, once and a half), I've seen the movies several times and love the hell out of them. Apart from being higher quality than the show, they really do well to string together the themes, story, and relationships that when a character dies or a character reaches a realization, it hits hard. They get extra points since the sound design for those movies is absolutely amazing, and there are only two episodes that I say people should watch if they want to forgo watching the show and watch the movies instead (specifically, the hot springs episode since it's absolutely hilarious, and Rossiu's recruitment episode for story reasons).

But I don't really see it as lazy. I think TTGL-hen is a good example for what a compilation movie should be- a good amount of new content (in the way of animation, music, and even possibly story or character development), higher quality, and only cutting stuff that, if lost, doesn't take too much away from the overall end product (and I think the second movie in particular handles this rather interestingly, though the first does it in a way that leads to a crowning moment of feels/awesome that, I think, isn't matched by anything else in the series). Not to forget the Parallel Works that were released in preparation for the movies (most of which are great- surprising amount of effort put into promotional material).

And altogether I don't really mind compilation movies. I'm quite looking forward to AoT's movies since the anime most suffered from pacing and unwarranted character changes or developments- which I can only assume is due to how episodes work compared to manga chapters. Not to mention that they can generally lead to a tight experience, or at least one that doesn't feel cumbersome or tedious. The opposite can be true, of course, but I wouldn't say that I'm one to right them off.

Never talk to me again.

Please forgive me Chikara-sama ;___;

You still need a partner for the shounen-ai this season! Don't you forget! :O

You were out? Damn! You were late to the party. Most of the forum got colors reversed (even gifs) it was kinda creepy. And all words like 'the' were getting replaced by 'tha'. I typed 'talk' once and got transformed into 'rap' lol.

It was a good joke.

I haven't seen many anime adapted movies but without a doubt the Madoka series has been the definitive movies trilogy in anime form I've seen. Sure, the third movie isn't what I'd expected however, I can't deny it was a thrilling tale to see unfold. Even the first 2 movies were pretty good retellings of the series with the improved animation sequences.

Now that I think of it, I don't normally watch a lot of anime adapted movies, I should try to get into them more.

I was here for the very start of it since the rap talk started when it had just turned 02/04 here xD And I usually read PC stuff on my phone so I saw the reversed colours and went "welp, all the fun things seem to happen when I'm not here" haha.

You don't need to put it high on your priority list, though.
Considering BD for the movie will be in 6 months at best.

Of course I know that, it's just that it's been on my backlog for quite some time that I need to get around and clear it...

...after clearing F/SN plus UBW, NagiAsu, Mahou Sensou (yeah, I'm forcing myself. It's so awful omg) and a bunch of other shows.

Ah, Mahou Sensou. Maybe I should watch that too...

I find anime-based movies cool. It's basically a very long episode, with cool stuff and extra plot. Which everyone loves.

I like stand-alone anime films (ones that aren't connected to a pre-existing series) cuz I can experience an original tale in 1-2 hours. It's nice for instant entertainment because it doesn't require much commitment like an anime series that can be anywhere from 24 to hundreds of episodes. I'm a rather lazy anime viewer these days..
[PokeCommunity.com] uguu?

Mahou Sensou was a walking disaster...please don't watch that, lmao. Everyon should watch Plastic Memories, though. The first episode nearly made me cry. I won't spoil, though, watch for yourself. It's an original anime, so there's nothing to research. Have fun!

In that case, be sure to add Masters of Martial Hearts to your bucket list.

"Forget about School Days. Forget about Manyuu Hikenchou. Forget about Mars of Destruction. THIS is the worst anime of all time, hands down."
-A Reviewer on MAL

And the reviews I've been seeing can attest to that I guess lol. I guess I'll prepare myself hahahahaha... oh god I'm scared now
