What makes you think that? The way I talked about it? Well I still haven't watched it so I'm talking as if I'm expecting things from it.

EDIT: Just checked the episode count. 13 episodes and 26 episodes for the first 2 seasons. Hmm...

Oh, then yes, I thought maybe you were talking as if you were caught up and there was still more episodes incoming. Was like "..I HADN'T HEARD OF THIS".

I have been forever put off from ever watching K-ON (not that I have ever wanted to watch it in the first place since even if it's KyoAni that type of show ain't my cake), but K-ON Azusa waifu obsessed 30+ year old weeaboo men scare me.

...that said, I haven't been able to motivate myself enough to watch the movie yet. I can stand twenty minutes of cute girls doing cute things, but over an hour? Maybe not...

The movie is actually a really nice thing to sit through. Unlike in the TV series where the main setting is the clubroom, they go around London and explore different places which for me makes it feel like at least things are moving on instead of being stale. I say this as someone who almost slept through trying to watch the whole of season 2.

NGE is obscenely popular worldwide for various reasons. Reboot movies among them.

It'd be nice if they'd actually bother to dub the third and actually release the fourth, though...and I thought Hellsing Ultimate was bad for releasing episodes at decent intervals; it's getting beyond ridiculous with the Rebuild movies!

I'm watching NGE at the moment and I figured Asuka would be a cooler character since Rei doesn't really do much, but Asuka is amazingly annoying so far. It's not necessarily an annoyance that makes the series bad though, I think it's something that makes the series good at the expense of her as a character.

On a wider scale, Rei is probably popular because people seem to be into those shy, emotionless types. It's at least easier to understand than the strange Yuki Nagato obsession people have.

Marika and Tsugumi are clearly the only valid choices. Definitely Chitoge, but Onodera if you want to be edgy.

Quiet, blue haired girl vs. Rambunctious Redhead- the former always wins out in popularity regardless of how well-developed they are.

After all, just look at Shiro from NGNL.

I will understand the collective hive mind of anime fans on the internet, or that of select fandoms. I think I'm better off just being a filthy casual. xD

Also, going to throw my two cents in for Team Chitoge, if we're keeping track. I don't see the appeal of Onodera...I like lively, explosive personalities that are the complete opposite to my own, they make for more interesting viewing.
