Hello [supporter]supporters[/supporter]! I'm going to assume most of you have been part of PC for a while now, since you all liked it enough to donate, so I thought I would ask you all some questions!~

1. Was PokéCommunity your first forum?

2. Have you been a part of other forums or online communities before you found your way here?

3. Have you been (or are you currently) on non-pokémon forums?

4. What has made you stay at PokéCommunity?

I was an avid simmer, and part of the Sims2Community (which is no longer with us ;-;). It was what first got me in to roleplaying, which I managed to pick up again here!

PC was my first and only pokémon related forum though :3. Must count for something ;).​

Oh no, it wasn't.

2. Have you been a part of other forums or online communities before you found your way here?
Yup! My only real forum before PC was Bulbagarden and Trickster Online (an MMO that has since closed) forums.

3. Have you been (or are you currently) on non-pokémon forums?
Not really. :( I find myself enjoying Pokemon forums much more than anything else. It just feels more home-y here.

4. What has made you stay at PokéCommunity?
The amazing themes were a big factor; I'm huge on visuals. I also met some pretty great people that made it very hard to leave.

The only forum I use is PC, it was my first forum, and the only other forum I've used much was Zelda Universe which I've since left inactive. There were some other smaller forums which I took part in and in one case helped run, but they didn't last too long so they're not worth counting I think! I'm not sure what keeps me on PC - probably the community haha. It's a really friendly place to chat and the people I've met here are largely wonderful, so I'd hate to ever leave were it not for a good reason. :D

Nope, it wasn't.

2. Have you been a part of other forums or online communities before you found your way here?
Yes I have. I was a in-game and forum mod for a fan made pokemon mmo; Pokemon Den of Ages. The owner decided to close the game and focus all effort on creating a sequel to it. I'm still helping out with the new game with all the old staff members.

3. Have you been (or are you currently) on non-pokémon forums?
I've tried alot of forums in the past, never stuck to any of them.


4. What has made you stay at PokéCommunity?
Not really for sure exactly, I actually been around PC since 2007 just coming and going, just recently I started getting into it.

Yep, considering I joined at the age of 10 :P

No, I just saw my sister on a few forums, looked good and 5 years on nearly, I'm here!

No, I honestly see PC as the ideal forum, and other forums don't seem right anymore

4. What has made you stay at PokéCommunity?
Well, the people, the events, everything about PC has made me want to stay. There is so much fun to be had and a lot of stuff to do, never bored here.

4. What has made you stay at PokéCommunity? The people here are amazing. Friendly, approachable, and interested in many things. In particular, great friends. Shoutouts to all of yall who deserve it :P

1. Was PokéCommunity your first forum?

Nope (but it's ONE of the first). I've been on a few other forums before I first joined, and a few more before I started actively posting. However, this does happen to be the first forum I've donated any money to, and I know it's being put to good use.

2. Have you been a part of other forums or online communities before you found your way here?

Yep. Several, actually. The friendly atmosphere that prevails here is actually pretty unusual, so I ended up sticking around once I saw that. I've not regretted it at all! :)

3. Have you been (or are you currently) on non-Pokémon forums?

Yes, but the only really active non-Pokemon forum I'm a part of is specifically made for RPing. The other two are small now, and plagued with constant activity issues.

4. What has made you stay at PokéCommunity?

It's mostly the atmosphere, actually. The friendly people and the great moderation team make this a place more than worth my time and money. I could go on, but I'll keep it at this: this place was well-put together, and I honestly wouldn't have it any other way here.

Nope, PC was definitely not where I started foruming.

2. Have you been a part of other forums or online communities before you found your way here?
I used to be on Bulbagarden, but the topics were boring and I was badly treated there so I wanted a place that was more open and friendly. So I came across PC.

3. Have you been (or are you currently) on non-pokémon forums?
Definitely not. Only Pokemon forums for me thank you.

4. What has made you stay at PokéCommunity?
The helpful staff team, the friends I've made, and becoming a Supporter despite not being able to donate, but that was because others helped me.

Not even close.

2. Have you been a part of other forums or online communities before you found your way here?
The summer that I joined PC, PC was probably one of like 30 forums I'd joined (so it's no surprise I forgot about it for a while). My first home forum was The Pokémasters and I stayed at TPM for a while even after joining PC. (It kind of sucked because as I was transitioning to PC for my home forum, I ended up finally getting modded at TPC haha. ._.)

3. Have you been (or are you currently) on non-pokémon forums?
Currently a member of Morkula's general gaming forum but beyond that, I'm not a member of anything else right now. I've never really posted on forums that weren't Pokémon-related, though. I've just never really had the interest for some reason.

4. What has made you stay at PokéCommunity?
Well, the bulk of why I stayed was being staff for most of my time here and admittedly I haven't been here much in the last few months or so, but even before that, PC's always just had this great atmosphere that I love. I like the set-up and I generally like the people so it's always kept me coming back. I've never once found a forum with a similar feel that does the same to me.

Not by a long shot.

2. Have you been a part of other forums or online communities before you found your way here?
I know for a fact that I was a part of at least 3 other forums more than a year before finding PC back in 2008.

3. Have you been (or are you currently) on non-pokémon forums?
There are still two other forums that I browse on a regular basis (coincidentally, they're 2 of the 3 I found before PC), and a couple others I check every week or two. I haven't been active on any of them for years though- I just lurk now.

4. What has made you stay at PokéCommunity?
Even if I had no obligations here, it's really one of the best communities I've been a part of, and I love how passionate everyone is, whether it be about Pokemon or not. The friendly and helpful interaction between members is a rare thing on many other forums I've seen, and I don't plan on moving away from that any time soon.

My first forum not counting the Neopets boards was actually a friend's forum, flamethrower69. It was a video game forum and didn't have a lot of people. Next was Serebii and then PC, which I haven't really left since joining in 2008. I've been a moderator for most of my PC life, so that's mainly what keeps me here, especially the challenge forum and the regulars there (they're fantastic the best on pc tbqh!), and I've made some fantastic friends throughout the years, like Klippy, Nick, Gavin, Razor Leaf...I could go on!

As far as non-Pokemon forums, I was on a general forum back in 2008 and modded the cooking section, haha. It was pretty funny having "moderator of cooking and food" in my sig. Aside from modding here, I'd say that modding that was definitely the most interesting moderator job I've ever had. I'm not on any non-Pokemon forum now, though. I'm on here and EGC, both of which are Pokemon forums. I have accounts at other places, like Ninbuzz and 4P, but I wouldn't count that as being there.

Yup. The first and always will be.

Forums? Nope. Online communities? I don't really know what can be defined as online communities but most probably nope.

Nope.

4. What has made you stay at PokéCommunity?
The friendships I've made, the fun I've had, everything Pokemon that has brought us all together in one big diverse family. <3

I think so? I can't really remember which one of the many Pokemon forums I visited first. I think it was PC though from memory. That or Bulbagarden, I really don't know aha. (go terrible memory)

2. Have you been a part of other forums or online communities before you found your way here?

Probably Bulbagarden as mentioned before. Then again my memory is terrible, so I don't know.

3. Have you been (or are you currently) on non-pokémon forums?

I used to go to a few Harry Potter forums since I absolutely love the series. I think I also used to post around Neopets and currently lurk this forum for an online game, which I can't exactly remember the name of right now. Sube- something. Gah, I really can't think today. :[

4. What has made you stay at PokéCommunity?

My wonderful friends! They make me smile everyday when I see them and all of the people I've met here, the bonds I've made, I'll never forget them. The fact that this is one of the best communities I've ever seen, we're really like a huge family in my eyes. Discussing the series with others has always been really fun as well and I've found PC so diverse. I really can't leave here without an extremely good reason- but yeah I've stayed for my friends, the discussions (since I'm a lonely person and have no one else to fangirl with :[) and more. :]

It was and is certainly my favorite n_n. I also joined EGC, Smogon, and Solstice, but I have just connected to the community here and I am definitely glad I joined.

2. Have you been a part of other forums or online communities before you found your way here?

Nope! PC was my first forums of anykind.

3. Have you been (or are you currently) on non-pokémon forums?

Currently no, but I might eventually. I'd rather dedicate my time to PC really as joining too many can easily get me distracted XD.

4. What has made you stay at PokéCommunity?

Friends. I cherish my online friends more than I cherish most things. I have met the most amazing people at my time here. I made a best friend and its really like a huge family in my eyes. Spending time at the Battle Server has made me open up and is where I made most of my PC friends and all of that is more than enough to make me stay.

I was a huge weather nerd and a fan of The Weather Channel, and there was actually a forum for that! It became my first ever forum at 18 years old, and the community there back then was amazing. Now it has gone to crap and I rarely visit there anymore. Then I jumped into a gaming forum which didn't have a lot of activity, and that led me to a google search to "pokemon forums" and this came up first. I joined, stayed for three years, badabing, here I am!

I'm currently part of a My Little Pony forum which I visit once a week, and I visit my first forum once a month, just to see how downhill it has gone. xD There were other forums (even Pokemon forums) that I've signed up/visit often, but nothing...i mean NOTHING compares to PC. You don't have the same friendly atmosphere in any other forum.

I kept saying "imma leave bye" but what has kept me here was not only the friendly atmosphere, or Pokemon itself, but the members and my friends have kept me. I love my friends here in this forum, whether new or old. They're the reasons why I come here.

Nope

Back in the day I was a part of a forum that was decently sized named Brutehalo (So obviously a Halo forum, back around the advent of Halo 2). It has since transitioned from there to a general gaming forum, and then to what was probably a warez website, which got shutdown very quickly =P

3. Have you been (or are you currently) on non-pokémon forums?

4. What has made you stay at PokéCommunity?
Part of it being the people, part of it nostalgia, part of it not having anyone to talk to Pokémon with, part of it just pure enjoyment

Not at all. My first forum was, I guess Neopets or something?

2. Have you been a part of other forums or online communities before you found your way here?

Yes, but now I really don't go to them any more, it was either because of time or just not having much of an attention span/interest in going to them. At the moment though I am a part of EGC, Castelia City Forums, and Pokemon Solstice Forums--which re-opened again last month iirc.

3. Have you been (or are you currently) on non-pokémon forums?

Yes I was, in fact most or all of them were Kingdom hearts forums like Kingdom Heart Ultimanium and Kingdom Hearts Insider. And iirc, one was a final fantasy forum named Final Fantasy.Net Forums---or was it Final Fantasy Extreme...? LOL =p

4. What has made you stay at PokéCommunity?

As most people have said, it's because of the intellects that reside here. I don't think I have ever met such wonderful and heart warming people before in my internet life. That and I've made such valuable, wondrous, and awe-inspiring cool friends and bonds that I'll hope to never ever lose sight of or forget. I don't think anyone can ever find another forum like PC honestly, it's irreplaceable. The friends I've made here were actually made in the Battle Server so it's what ties it together I guess.

1. Was PokéCommunity your first forum?
No, my first major Pokemon forum was Serebii. I joined around May 2006. I originally joined PC in November 2006. I joined Neopets around 2002, but I never posted on their forums.

2. Have you been a part of other forums or online communities before you found your way here?
Serebii -> ThePokePlace (friend's vBulletin) -> PC, but in the mean time I checked out just about every Pokemon forum I could find, even the ghost-town forums.

3. Have you been (or are you currently) on non-pokémon forums?
I visit the official Gearbox/Borderlands forum and the Sega/Sonic forum. I used to visit a fan-created Sonic forum. I recently joined the official Square Enix/Final Fantasy beta forum.

4. What has made you stay at PokéCommunity?
All the friendships I've made, especially in Trade Corner. Don't get me wrong, I cherish the friendships I made on Serebii and ThePokePlace, but the former was immensely slow so I left and the latter expired so we scattered a bit. I still talk to a few today, isn't that something? Having an online friend for 7 years... I hope the friendships I make today last that long, too.
