To answer the question on the last page I did an Ash Playtrhough once, but I didn't finish it because I chose the worst region to do it with which is Unova. It wouldn't have been too terrible if he didn't have nine active Pokemon and since I was going for using the same teams that he did for this gym and that gym it got increasingly difficult haha. I do plan on doing his Hoenn team on Alpha Sapphire though as well as potentially his Sinnoh team and, when XY is over, his Kalos team.

Though the last one will be super sad because I will get Goomy after Korrina and release it after Clemont cries. chances are i'll just be boxing it but still.

Ugh don't remind me of that... I wish I could slap him for letting goodra go lol...but the ash challenge isn't easy in most games... Mostly because he dives in headfirst usually, with very little planning for the gym at all, making it hell because of typing most of the time

To be fair, he put Goodra's feelings before his own. I think that was really thoughtful on Ash's part.

Well, I believe Goodra did feel a strong bond with Ash during those final flashbacks, but then Ash reminded it about its true purpose. It only ended up with Ash because it got blasted off from being too weak, and it always wanted to get stronger to protect its friends. Ash decided that this was the way it was supposed to be, and I'm sure Goodra will never ever forget about Ash.

I think the actual explanation for why Ash is still ten is because of the Ho-Oh he saw in the first episode, which made him ten forever because he wanted his adventure to never end, somehow. It's a theory, at least. It's still really stupid but it's there.

They also state that it's been a year since they started in one of the season 1 episodes, in the dub anyway. So yes, that Butterfree is probably dead by now.

god i am such a nerd

Wait why did we change the subject from Sandshrew. also is Ash now the Team KFC dictator or wat becaussssse I need a dictator

Also yeah I noticed he said "it's been a year" that one time and back in DP I assumed he was like, 15. Then when BW began, I actually got to watch the first episode and heard it say "ten year old ash" and couldn't believe it. But for some reason, I really don't like HoOh theory, but I'm not quite sure why. I also dislike the coma theory, but that just sounds stupid to me.

36, but waiting to be ninja'd by Flareon. 37, Kiyoshi confirmed Psychic-Type.

I'm a little ruffled by the fact the dub solidified he was still 10, even though it appeared Ash was aging yearly each region. At least to me. He seemed to be becoming more mature the more adventures he went on; like it was believable that he was getting somewhere around 16 by Sinnoh, only to be redesigned and reset in Unova.

Sandshrew would never say ew to ice cream. ;P

Regarding Ash's age, it was just a simple retcon. He wasn't "necessarily" 10 in Advanced Generation or DP, but the writers just decided to keep things simple and declare that he was 10 in BW to avoid confusion. I'm pretty sure I explained BW's resetting process in detail many, many (read: at least 30) pages ago, but I can't be bothered to dig it out, haha. xD
