I only played 2 ranger games and 2 PMD games and PMD are the best games of all, at least story-wise. No arguing about that.
Shadows of Almia's adventure was pretty cool, Guardian Signs' adventure would be great if they havent screwed up the script as much as they could have. I just finished all the quests.

I can't deny that the PMD games have some of the best stories I have seen in any video game, but...I'm really not a fan of that style of games.

My favorite Pokemon spinoff to play is any of the Pokemon Puzzle games (League for the N64 or Challenge for the GBC) or Pokemon Pinball.

But why not toss some recognition to the TCG game for the GameBoy, which is the only way I have to play the card game these days, since I have no idea what's going on with the rules now for that game. So many new cards and different ways to build decks than the ways I used to know.

Eww you use the horizontal postbit? The verticle one is 5000x better :(

My favourite spinoff is something I've answered many times before - it's the Rumble games of course! They're so exciting and action-packed, unliked the slower paced PMD and Ranger games. I do love all three of them, but Rumble has always been my favourite.

The TCG GBC game was also beyond amazing for its time. ♥

I may have said this quite a few times, but Explorers of Sky is definitely my favorite, mostly because of its beautiful storyline and engaging gameplay. (Yes, I'm one of those weirdos who prefer the Mystery Dungeon series' gameplay over the main series', haha.) The Rumble series is probably in second place, though!

So sorry if I'm late to this but I just got on the 3ds estore and Pokemon Rumble World is on there sooooo....

Anyhow, favorite spinoff is the Mystery Dungeon series! Ranger is pretty fun too, and I had some great memories with my cousin on his Stadium game. :3

It definitely said free in the nintendo direct - the only thing they mentioned paying for was additional gems/whatever the currency was.

Yeah, in the Direct they said the game will be free to download from the eShop. I assume the only payments that will have to be made will be the microtransactions in-game.

*GASP* I didn't check the price! Free is my favorite price!
I just hope the microtransactions are a bit more lenient than Shuffle's, only five hearts was a bit hard to play.

Annnnnd I just realized my SD card is full and I need a new one. .-. Darn you Gates to Infinity!!
