If you live with roommates (or parents) do you split the chores? what do you do? or maybe you live alone and do them all?

personally it's my responsibility to clean dishes and take out the trash, and everybody sort of pitches in to clean the cats litter.

Me and my roommate both do everything. If he's home and I'm gone, he'll usually do whatever needs to be done. Same way with me.

    my responsibilities right now are
    - laundry for me and my fiancé
    - cleaning our bedroom
    - my own dishes and sometimes his
    - the litterboxes & feeding cats because they are mine
    - cleaning the office
    - cleaning the living room

however about halfway through last year a lot of my other housemates dropped off on thei chores so i took them over because i'm the only responsible one so i'm sure that'll... happen again...

P much everything but taking out the trash and vacuuming. Vacuuming sucks :(

I don't really have a set list! I just whatever I'm asked. Usually it's vacuuming or doing dishes :>

I live by myself and do it ALL 8( I hate it. I'm so lazy and now I actually have to do this stuff and arrrrrgghhhhhh someone come move in with me.

living with roommates - i generally volunteer to do any vacuuming, cleaning the kitchen & living room areas and general dusting. i delegate cooking & laundry to other people because fuck me if i'm burning dinner or touching other people's dirty clothing.

living with family - whatever needs to be done, no boundaries or whatever.

Living with family: take out the bins, hang out clothes, feed the cats, empty the dishwasher and fill it again, cook if my parents are being lazy, small errands like posting mail or buying milk or whatever.

That will not be the case as of Sunday cause ya boi's moving out, so maybe in a month or so I can edit this post with what "Living with roommates"'s chores entail.

I'll make a new thread October 14th just for you

I live by myself so I have to do everything. Most of the time I get a bit lazy but there will be the odd day where I go into housewife mode. :P

Typically I take out the trash, and assist with mostly heavy chores that require heavier lifting. Not much fortunately, but I do get to do things like haul groceries in as well as other things like recently I'm just expected to be there each time my grandma needs the toilet because I push her wheelchair and I'm the only one strong enough to lift her if she falls down. She's 87, and really frail so we have to keep a close eye on her. She just came back from the hospital yesterday, so we're really on the watch for her so she doesn't take another tumble. She just needs lots of recuperation time now.
