Anime/Manga What was the last anime you watched or manga you read?

MHA S7 has officially started english dubbed. Now... I don't like giving the same anime an award(s) at my end of the year list, however, if it's just as good as last season was (which won my personal Anime of the Year) then there may not be much choice. We'll see. For now... yeah it's off to great start already.

Just watched the first episode of Bocchi The Rock! I'm instantly loving it! And i've never related to a character more, especially the "I want people to notice me and talk to me, but I'm too nervous to talk to them myself" part, lol

BOCCHI THE ROCK!!!!

I guess the last thing I've watched is the newest episode of Pokemon Horizons, but since that's been going on for such a long time I suppose the most recent thing I've watched is the second episode of this new season of Demon Slayer. Friday is coming up soon and that means a new episode of Girls Band Cry though...

Due to certain... things that have happened... I decided to say 'screw it' and watch Steins;Gate. I've only watched two episodes thus far. All be honest... the first episode confused the hell out of me and I didn't understand what was going on in the slightest. The second episode though... well things got interesting. So... I'm interested and intrigued. That doesn't change the fact that the first episode confused the hell out of me and I still don't understand what the hell was going on. I really hope this isn't another 'over-rated' situation. I guess we'll see.

I'm still massively into anime and manga, anyone who wants to chat about it hmu! lol. I'm also super active on MAL. I watch A LOT lol.

I made the awful decision of trying to catch up with "everything" anime on netflix that I hadn't seen yet, as I'd already seen a fair majority. It unfortunately turns out a lot of their stuff is worth skipping (I won't mention those). But I recently finished Grimm Variations, Ooku, Rilakkuma, Little With Academia, Thermae Romae Novae and Ultraman which were good!

Besides that I've been watching Psycho Pass, Terra Formars, Saint Seiya, Black Clover & finally recently started One Piece! I recently completed Hozuki's Coolheadedness which was really good as well as Frieren & Sand Land.
Airing I'm keeping up with new Kaiju no. 8, MHA, Demon Slayer & Dungeon Meshi!

The last Manga I read was Sand Land after I finished the series!

Hope you're the patient type- One Piece is an extremely long series.

The most recent anime I saw was Bleach, where one of Ichigo's friends got captured and taken to the world of the hollows, and he and his friends go to rescue her. I'm still into the series, but I had been hoping they'd get to the big battle with Aizen and his forces already. I've taken a break to watch some other movies and shows.

The last manga I read was Shaman King Flowers, the sequel series to the original Shaman King. It was good (not as good as Shaman King was though), but with only six volumes the story doesn't go that far, and just... stops at the end of the last volume. There's another sequel series that takes place afterwards, but I can't find any print copies online yet except a German version. Hopefully that'll show up sometime.

I found out that Demon Slayer Hashira Training arc started english dubbed this past weekend. I guess it was better to find out now instead of next week when I would have had two episodes to watch. Either way this doesn't seem to be much of a 'season' in terms of length... (8 eps) but I guess it makes sense now considering the most recent news with how they are ending the series. Either way I'd still say the start is pretty great so far. It doesn't look/seem like they'll be many 'epic' moments like in past seasons but hopefully it'll still be enjoyable.

I'm currently watching Delicious in Dungeon as we speak! I'm on episode 15. It's marvelous!
I just finished watching this with some friends recently, it's really amazing!

If we're counting OVAs and the such, then the last thing I watched was Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade. I've seen it a lot of times myself, but this was the first time watching it with the aforementioned group of people and it still hits the same every time, SO good!

Finally getting started with some Summer 2024 anime. I just watched the first episodes of Days with My Stepsister and Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian. Hoping that both of them are decent (or better) romance anime.

My most hyped show this season, Narenare -Cheer for You!- has yet to debut.

Yesss! I finished it after posting that, I went on a binge. I can't wait for the second season!!! Such an amazing anime.

I started Steins;gate 0 yesterday (I finished the prior series and movie). Not sure if it's better or worse than the first series yet. I've only seen two eps lol. Seems more like an AU sort of thing. Either way I'd still say it's pretty good so far. We'll see how I feel once I finish it.

Narenare -Cheer for You! The art and animation style, particulary the colors and more simplistic backgrounds, seem at odds with other P.A. Works shows, and the parkour girl seems not to be bound by the laws of physics. It's too early to pass judgment, but so far I'm not enjoying it as much as 2018's cheerleading anime, Anima Yell! Then again, Anima Yell! was a solid 10/10 anime for me, so those are pretty tough shoes to fill. This one is still pretty good so far. albeit I'm only one episode in so far lol

Fairy Tail 100 Year Quest has begun. Yep you read that right... the english dub has already begun!! Thank god for the simuldub era (now where the **** is my Edens Zero S2 dub?!)

It's definitely interesting to see what the famed '100 Year Quest' actually is. I thought it was something that takes 100 years to complete honestly lol. Turns out it's just a quest that hasn't been completed for 100 years (so in other words it's really hard). Can Fairy Tail be the ones to finally complete it?! I guess we'll find out lol. But god damn I missed this franchise. Glad it's back.

[PokeCommunity.com] What was the last anime you watched or manga you read?

I just started reading Akumade Amai Watashi no Kanojo (or "My Girlfriend is Devilishly Sweet") because I'd been seeing people talk about it and it seemed right up my alley and..... oh man I'm instantly hooked... I've been wanting a new romance to get into and it being yuri is even better. It's such a relief to see it be actually really cute and wholesome and to be able to get interested in the relationship dynamic because I fear stuff like this just ends up being soulless ecchi. I'll be reading this every time new scans come out and checking regularly. It makes me very happy,,,,,, 🤍

Nier Automata cour 2 has started english dubbed. One can only hope that there won't be as many issues as there was with cour 1 but only time will tell obviously. Emil has already made an appearance!! lol. Either way anime is getting pretty crowded so trying to actually get through stuff in my anime backlog is already out the window once I'm through Steins;Gate 0 and I'll just have to focus on current ongoing simuldubs. Sorry? 😅

yeah, it's why I said "finally". Ofc one I've put off for a long time due to its length! I've gotten to around ep100 since posting this, which I feel is a decent pace actually as ofc, it's not the only thing I'm watching and I'm juggling it with a bunch of other anime!

Since last posting here:
I actually also started Fairy Tail too which was similarly put off for a long time like OP. Besides that I finished a bunch like;
TP Bon (eh, it's okay, just about worth it I guess)
The Imaginary (way better than I expected, defo worth the watch)
Natsume (loved it watched like all 8 seasons or whatever it is since I last posted and all the specials/movies..can't wait for the new season!)
Noragami S1, Ring Ni Kakero, Ronin Warriors, Fighting Foodons, 7Seeds, Great Pretender, Super Crooks, Blue Period, Good Night World, Akuma-kun, Gundam IBO (liked all of these)
this list was even longer, but as it's already too long lmao, I decided to not even mention anything I didn't think was that good or felt too obscure.

and also started but still currently getting through some more like Ouran, Slam Dunk, Loser Ranger, Blood Blockade Battlefront & Devilman.

& Manga I had a while I got super into it again and was reading more than I ever have. I read a bunch digitally; some Shonen Jump stuff on their app (Saint Seiya, HxH, Ayashimon, Takamagahara, Dear Anemone, YYH....some current stuff like Ultimate Exorcist Kiyoshi, Yokai Buster Murakami, Kagurabachi, Astro Royale & Shiba Inu Rooms) and a few series on Mangadex like Shinjuku Swan, Gachiakuta, Saiki K & a bunch of one shots.
Less on the physical book side (which actually used to be a majority of my reading) as I only had some vols of Natsume and Wotakoi with me in Tokyo but I'm not now back with the bulk of my collection in London so probably be reading physicals more again.
