Whats with all the money

    Is it normal to have 35K to start the game. Not really liking that. It makes rewards irelevant and obtaining all you need in supplies no challenge at all. That could actually ruin the game for me....
     
    There are so many side quests in the game that you can earn money. (You get 1,000,000 for a specific one!) You can also farm in pokepelago for treasures which can be sold for high prices.

    So yes, making money in this game is easy. I almost got 2 million and nothing to spend it on. {XD}

    I just barely started playing it. Maybe 3 hours into the game. Found my first store. Went to buy some supplies.. pokeballs and such. And I have 35k. I have been getting less than 100 for trainers I have fought. But with that much money I can basically do what ever I want. Poke balls and stuff still cost the same. I was wondering if it was a glitch since this is a used cartridge that i reset the save data on to start over again. But I watched a Lets Play for a little while and the guy seems to also have 35k to start. Why would they give you that much money to start. Money being easy to come buy is fine but the game should still not make money irelevant from the very start.

    I think you start with 35k to allow for people to purchase cosmetics early on and not have to pick between potions or hats.
     
    ikr. i have 6 mil... what the heck? i hav nothing to spend it on. i dont really like the sleeveless garments, and i like garments that are camo, or have the iconic pokeball symbol. i wish there were more things to buy, like x and y... maybe in the next game, there will be more clothes n stuf. an annoting thing is u can by competitive items onlly for bp, and i swear i would buy the [ower bracers for 100k each
     
    It seems really easy to get money in SM, but like others have said, with the vast customization options available in the games, I guess Game Freak wanted people to be able to try different outfits.
     
    If you end up buying all the clothes that become available throughout the game then you don't really have all that much money by the end. If you don't care about getting all the clothes then I expect you'll have too much, yeah.
     
    I think that much starting money is enough to get some customization going or worrying less about battles to get money and spend on gettings pokeballs and healing items.
     
    I spent a majority of my money on clothes on the first islands so I blew through it pretty quick. You soon get it back, though. Between the trainers and the item explorations on Poke Pelago, it isn't difficult to come by money in Sun & Moon.
     
    I don't mind the free money being given out. Any extra money for Poke Balls and healing items is always welcome.

    It also gives other players the option to waste said money, plus the money earned from selling the items obtained from the demo, on clothes.
     
    I found earning money hard at first thanks to a notable lack of trainer rematches, but being able to easily find those rare items that can be sold for money made up for it. It ranges from Star Pieces/Stardust/Comet Shards from rocks to Pearls that can be fished up.

    I share you're opinion, I had the same issue, but everything changed after the UB-quest when I did get a million.

    I never actually noticed starting with more money. If anything, I think money is a littler harder to obtain in this game because of the increased clothing options and the cost of some of them. I don't think it's a bad thing to start with a little help.
     
    It's really just for the cosmetic aspect of the game, plus the fact of having so many more TM's you have to purchase I believe.

    I'm happy someone else agrees with me about the clothes being so expensive that it drained your money so quickly. Game Freak needs to stop making things so goddamn expensive in the Pokemon universe.
