    Remember when consoles used to have fun little startup screens/noises? Which was your favourite and least favourite? Is this something you'd like to see return to the consoles themselves, or is it better off being played at the end of TV adverts where you don't have to endure it every time you switch your console on to play it?
     
    OG Gameboy and Gamecube. Also weirdly the Xbox 360's original startup sounds which I barely remember. The former two were hella satisfying and the Xbox 360's...well, I barely remember and I never liked the system much but it was at least a sign I wasn't dealing with a RROD

    GameCube's startup screen because of the memes is one of my favorites. For consoles that I actually had, I liked the ding that the Game Boy did. I don't think I have a least favorite, hmm.

    I wouldn't mind it returning if they make it optional. Like if there is an option to remove it for people who don't like them tucked away in the console's settings, that would be great.
     
    The original Playstation's start up is soooo nostalgic and awesome to me ♥♥ Brings back fond memories of all the hours of Spyro I played.
     
    The Gamecube one is so iconic, as are the PS1 and PS2 ones. But despite not having any nice startup screen one of my favourite starting sounds is the PS3 one.

    *PTSD from the time i accidentally had the TV on max volume and the PS1 startup sound nuked my ears into oblivion*

    I honestly hated them. Granted the only ones I had were the PS series of consoles and the PS1 was a nightmare, so was the PS2 whenever the red screen of beauty came up.

    PS3 was mild... I didn't mind that, the previous two though... hellish
