For the record, I'm not stressing over it but I think that it's extremely cool how our eyes see colors so differently. So I'm asking PC for their input.

So it's been around social media just recently and everyone is debating whether this is a white and gold dress or black and blue.

I see it as a light blue and a kind of gold. Apparently it's got something to do with our cones and retina or something.

This dress looks white and gold, at least to me. But I don't see what all the hullaballoo is about.

I saw an explanation as to why this is, and I guess it makes sense. Don't have the link for it on hand, though. I could see how it would be blue and black, but I'm personally seeing white and gold here (or, to be more precise, maybe more like bronze and very sky blue).

I just know people are making a fuss about it, and I seriously don't get why.

    All I see is #737395 and #7d6e43...

In all seriousness though, I see it as gold and white next to the horrid overexposed background and darkened foreground. Blue I can see... but black?

EDIT: Just as I posted this and went on facebook, I realised it was blowing up. Came back here and now the picture is blue and black and now my eyes and brain hurt.

Post here if anyone hasn't seen it yet.

    Spoiler: the dress' true colour

My brother showed me the picture earlier and it looked blue and black to me, but now it looks white and gold. Confused.

i honestly don't care what the actual dress is, in THAT goddamn picture (the original), the dress IN that goddamn picture IS white and gold. lighting, retina, filter, blah blah blah, the dress in that picture is white and gold. I could care less about the reaaaaal dress, the picture that I am seeing with my eyes is white and gold.

just to make it clear to everyone, i am fully aware the real dress is black and blue.

Whatever colour it is, I wouldn't be caught dead in it.

...anyways, I'd say white and gold, because the gold is obviously there, and the poor lighting would explain why it would look blue and black to some eyes...I think. I don't know. Either way, the thing really ought to be burned.

Exactly what he said. That is all :)

Ugh. This stupid dress... WHO THE FUCK CARES? DX I'm actually getting so tired of it.

Also, when I opened this thread, it looked white though... then for some reason it went back to blue and black. This dress is possessed. IT'S A STUPID UGLY DRESS CAN WE JUST NOT TALK ABOUT IT BEFORE MY BRAIN EXPLODES.

Hahaha I stared at it for minutes and now I can finally see how it can be blue and black but it's hard.

I find it quite stupid how people are divided into camps over some picture of the ugliest dress I've ever seen.

For me, I have been seeing blue and gold. I can get why people see different colours because everyone perceives colours differently due to biologically or whatever reasons.

The amount of attention this dress is getting is still absurd to say the least.

I enjoy how most of the posts in this thread are about how dumb it is that people care yet everyone has given an opinion.

I see black and white #teachthecontroversy
