    why do people keep saying this, did anyone watch the android and cell saga at all

    vegeta practically ignored and trashed his son for the entirety of those two arcs and it took until cell killed trunks for vegeta to actually give a shit

    like, the entire filler episode of goku training with gohan in the hyperbolic time chamber is enough proof that he's more of a dad than vegeta will ever be

    Post Cell Saga Vegeta is a way better dad and it's probably because of the Cell Saga that he realizes it.
     
    Goku never really had any character development, just more transformations.
