I should really invest in some of these digital-only titles like Shovel Knight, some of them look quite appealing. A lot of people say Child of Light is really good, and I love the art style of Apotheon...but there are so many of the things, and I'm already getting five games this month. xD

Agreed. Child of Light is a game I've heard great things about but never spent the money on just yet. What games are you getting this month?

It's got a pretty nice soundtrack at the very least. I'm generally way of games that get consistent praise, but the trailers and such I've seen say that it might be worth picking up...eventually. xD

This month, I'm getting Atelier Shallie: Alchemists of the Dusk Sea (should come today, hopefully!), The Awakened Fate Ultimatum, Final Fantasy Type-0 HD, Toukiden: Kiwami, and Bloodborne. I may or may not cancel my Bloodborne pre-order, though. I just don't like the idea of paying over £45 for a game...
 
Shovel Knight was good fun, great sprite work (particularly with the bosses!) and the music is fantastic. Not easy, mind. I recommend it.

Going to pick up some WayForward titles given there's some sales this week. =) Mighty Switch Force and Shantae & The Pirate's Curse!!

I have Child of Light but have not gotten around to that yet.

Pirate's Curse is on sale? Chances are I'll pick that up later; I love Shantae! I picked up Risky's Revenge just after it came out, and I really enjoyed it. The original game has aged well also~

...and in other news, my copy of Atelier Shallie just arrived. I'm still trying to plat Ayesha for a second time and I haven't even started Escha & Logy yet, but I might fire it up later...I'm actually quite excited for this one. No time limit for the first time in years! Should be good.

@ Child of Light: PLAY IT omg. I haven't been playing it as much as I should have lately just because my focus for video games sucks but oh my god it's so beautiful to play and listen to. And not just that but actually kind of relaxing and pfffbtrt. Actually if I wasn't still half asleep at the moment I would go play it right now myself.
 
I'm actually at work right now but I'm listening to the soundtrack right now. My god, that piano is gorgeous. This soundtrack alone is making me contemplate as to whether or not I should buy the game now or now. I'm on this song now and I'm really digging it. Sounds boss battle-esque.

FWIW I heard good things about it from my friends, although the poetry in it is a bit forced at times. Which doesn't sound like a major complaint to me. And it was cheaper than usual when I got it, and the price ain't so bad to begin with!
 
Yeah, I ended up buying it not entirely knowing if I would like it or not, since it looked interesting but that doesn't necessarily mean I'll like it, but it was "only" 15 bucks or however much it cost at the time--

Then I heard the music, this track in particular (still one of my favorite tracks from there so far, from the ones I've heard), and I knew I'd made the correct choice. Yeah the poetry can be a little forced, but even then it's not even that bad. I have no complaints about it.

...I'm only four hours into it myself. :(

Eh, it's fine. AJ's popular but Xenoverse has surprisingly had a large reach. A large number of critics, both big name and obscure, have given the game pretty good reviews and the consumer's are fascinated by it, so it shouldn't be a problem.

Oh my gosh yes! It's a game I've wanted for so long, but I feel we'll either never get it or it will have been at least a decade since the original announcement before we see it.

Don't count it out just yet...after all, Final Fantasy XV, formerly Versus XIII, has been in development for YEARS now, and that's supposed to be finally coming out in the immediate future. We might get it, just under a different name. Time doesn't seem to be a factor to certain video game developers...or fantasy writers, for that matter. But I digresss~

I'm more upset it's unlikely we'll ever get another Legacy of Kain game...
 
Of course I'd never give up, it's just that this game is probably the only title I've ever wanted that's been through some kind of developmental limbo. Sony stated they're "waiting for the right time to re-introduce the game".... but when? No new footage or anything for I forget how many years since the last trailer. I guess we'll see.

I wonder if Gamestop still even has my pre-order since the title was rumored to be cancelled several times over the years. xD Well, if/whenever Sony decides to release it, it's probably a good business decision to have the game be on PS4.

Now, there are two games that need sequels. I'd say that Vanquish was easily Platinum Games' finest action game - it was far more frantic than Bayonetta, if a little less stylish - and there are three parts to the Divine Comedy, damnit! We need Dante's Purgatorio and Dante's Paradiso D:
 
Is anyone else fucking hyped for the Final Fantasy XV demo? I preordered Type-0 for this shit.
