late 2007: I joined, and I thiiiiiink it was because I wanted to read and talk about the Pokémon Adventures manga. I might have gotten a couple of friends, one being named Oliver but having a different username, and we paired up and were really awkward about it because we didn't really know what pairing up meant, haha. I posted a lot in Sydian's Pokémon Special fanclub which was great.
2008: I really don't remember much. But I think most things happened this year? I was great friends with omgwhatshername lovely girl who was my chocolate sister because we had a chocolate fanclub, and Beachboy, and Twinx was my best friend god, and also Rekhyt or what he's called nowadays. We took over the Pokémon General daily chit chat and seriously spammed the crap out of it. Making sure to always have our posts pokémon related, of course, but with stupidly much nonsense inbetween it all xD Pokémon General, ah, lovely place.
I might also have stumbled upon tcti this year? Before Went was first modded, in any case. I don't remember if it was in 2008 or later I met Francesci, Sublime, Nica and the rest there. And Scytethekid haha. Must have been 2008. I saw Went become orange at some point. Might have been later also, gosh everything is so tangled.
2009: I might have grown more distant. I always had these months-long pauses from PC during these years. Really sporadic in my activity. I think this was when I first talked to Gavin? Clicked, we did. I think I kept posting in tcti this year and I sadly don't remember much else... was Todoroki this year?
2010: This summer, I first tried roleplaying on PC. Roswell and Sublime had talked about it and I liked writing so I wanted to try but didn't quite dare to. But yeah, I finally did. And it was loads of fun. I invaded the Roleplay Corner pretty much and tried to revive the eerie discussion threads. Pokémon RPing and other RPing was split back in these days. I think Alter Ego was the mod? And then Michaela became the mod. I don't think I was active during the autumn there, I used an alt I remember, because I was still a bit unsure if I really wanted to be a RPer.
2011: And then I was modded lol. Had a great time first half of the year, revamping the section and starting up the awards thing and the check-to-see thread and stuff. I think I contributed really well, and I'm not ashamed to say it :p But real life business made me super stressed out that summer and autumn so I quit staff and tried to be distant from PC for a while. Didn't work well hahaha.
Instead I got great new friends in Skymin's crew. Supervegeta, Raikiri, Ichiro... and later also Retro Bug, Kiklion and more. The skype chats, the RP drama, the all of it. I love you guys, damn.
2012: Both now and 2011, I was completely focused on the Roleplay Corner. The rest of PC was like an extra thing on the side. I was part of so many great and fun RPs. Can't even remember them all and I doubt if someone is reading this that they'd care anyways. But written RPing sure is something special. Immense.
2013: Somewhere this year I realized that I've changed a lot over the course of my time on PC. From being a gleeful forum games-poster to a literate RPer and now I found myself not really knowing what I wanted to do, if I wanted to stay or finally grow up, leave the sillyness of an online pokémon forum behind at last and, idk, have one less worry?
I made an effort to branch out and post in other parts of the forum than the RP Corner this spring. Couldn't really post much in the gaming forums because I didn't play much. Made a Homestuck fanclub and tried posting more in CC&P where the action is, so to speak. And I revisited Pokémon General too, and remembered how much I actually like pokémon. RPing makes you think of them in other ways than just numbers and animations on a screen, and even though it might be the dorkiest way ever of looking at pokémon, I kind of always like that. Works for me, I mean, what are fandoms for?
And then I was modded lol. So I figured PC was worth it as long as I didn't try to devote my life to it or something. It's a fun place with fun people, but I'm anchored better in the uh real world these days, even though I'm online hella lot. And also, I've grown closer to my pair again this year, which makes me happy. Riding with me can get bumpy now and then, but he stuck along.
