    Mmm, I used to loooove visiting video game arcades as a kid, with all the tokens and quarters, with the really hard difficulty settings, haha. I went to places like Playdium, Chuckie Cheese, and other small arcades! Was good stuff~ Well, that said, have you ever visited and played in a video game arcade? What were your experiences there, and what games do you remember playing? You can share all other thoughts as well!
     
    There were couple of arcade machines near my house in Korea, which drained all the money I had that I was supposed to buy school supplies with, because they were usually located right in front of the stores that sold them.
     
    During my first years in high school I went to an arcade place called Mira Amusement where I would play Tekken 5, Dance Dance Revolution & Need For Speed Underground. Me and my other friend were such a beast in Tekken 5 and Need For Speed Underground that a lot of people would come and challenge us there during the lunch break, we were like the best of the whole school :P

    But now, that place went bankrupt or something, or maybe it moved so it isn't there anymore. Instead, I go to(rarely) to 2K which is another arcade place in downtown. It still has Tekken, DDR but instead of Need For Speed Undeground, it's Carbon :)

    They also have heaps of other games which are fun to play :D
     
    Shooting games, racing games and the crane games were always really fun, but for the most part, I was trying to beat all the Gallaga hi-scores at that arcade. That's my favorite arcade game and I love playing it when I go anywhere with an arcade.
     
    Oh I have, always. And I'm not afraid to admit that my excuse to visit Chuck E Cheese's with my nieces is to play arcade games. xD

    When I was a little girl, my mom would always take me to the local laundromat, and there was Pacman, Galaga, Puzzle Bobble, and Street Fighter. I played all four games while my mom did the laundry there. I was never bored.

    I love fighting games actually. Mortal Kombat, Marvel Vs. Capcom, Street Fighter, any fighting game is my favorite to play in arcade games. :3
     
    Some good times were to be had playing Dance Dance Revolution!

    I pretty much played any game I found, but didn't really have a favorite. I do remember when I was really little I thought the goal of Pac-Man was to be eaten by the ghosts. Man, if that were the case, I was the best Pac-Man player around! XD
     
    Oh i have too, and my god they were addicting. Always at amusement parks or recreational parks they had a few of those machines and they were eating my money for dinner. Cant remember much of them though, since i was a little kid when i played those games, but whenever i see one again... i will be broke for sure haha
     
    I've played these games plenty of times when I was younger, but the most memorable moment for me was when my dad took me to an arcade in Time Square at Manhattan. I played some racing game there. Can't recall what it was actually called, but it was a ton of fun though, and its graphics were pretty decent as well. I played the game for about thirty minutes, while my dad was just standing there watching. xD Would have continued playing, but we eventually ran out of coins, and dad didn't want to exchange any more cash of his. Pretty sure he was just bored.
     
    I remember going down to a pizza shop every now and then and there were two arcade machines there. I can't remember the exact games but I'm pretty sure one was Pacman!
    I miss my siblings and I taking turns on those arcade games, even though sooner or later we'd run out of all our change. :P

    I rememeber when I was a kid, and I'd go here there and everywhere with my Dad and stop in as many arcades everywhere as we could! we both had plenty fun.

    My Dad was always the master of pinball, and he'd also play Crazy Taxi at any given chance! xD

    as for me... let's see.. oh, everything. x3 My fondest memory is of going to the arcade that was in the city we live next to, and me and my Dad blazed throught The Simpsons Arcade GAme. Pretty sure I was playing as Lisa, and my dad was Bart. x3

    And there was this other time, I was at a skating rink, and of course they had this really small arcade inside the place, so my dad played there while I skated. I went over to him at some point while he was playing Storm Stopper and managed to hit the jackpot and won a bazillion tickets! I don't remember what we wound up trading them for... but I remember that moment!
     
    There was an Arcade in the mall back in my home town called: Alladin's Palace.

    My favorite game was this first person Star Wars game. You could play through all movies ( This was before the prequels came out) Some were fire fights, some were light saber duels and some were dog fights. Like you versus the ATATs on Hoth and the first assault on the Death Star. Another cabinet I frequented in there was NFL Blitz '99.

    Good times.
     
    Yes, I used to have a convenient store beside my house with a few games. My friend and I would go there when we were bored, it was some near-impossible game that we would easily waste 10 dollars on.
    + I used to play Gauntlet a TON.
     
    It is so rare to find a good arcade in England anymore, where I live there are only ones in certain places like at bowling or the cinema other than that there aren't any and they are really small. I would love if we could actually get a full arcade, especially with old arcade games like double dragon which me and my dad found once on holiday and we played it for ages, so simple of a game yet so fun. xD

    Everything now is them stupid gambling machines as they make a lot of money, honestly I think kids would love to have something like that in the area but it never happens, I mean you can set up tournaments and such keep kids of the streets which every time I go to town there are kids just loitering around with nothing better to do. I miss the good old arcades not the new sucky ones with only gambling machines in them.
     
    Do prize machines count? (well, they are in arcades, technically...)

    If so, yes I did. I used to do a lot of DDR back in the archaic days, but now it's all about prize machines. I just play for free (since I do tend to scavenge for loose tokens out of boredom). Best accomplishment - winning a PSP (then sold it to a friend afterwards - not a PS gamer).
     
    Ah yeah, I love arcades. Loved them as a kid and still do! I've spent countless sums of cash in arcades, my favorite games were the ones where you could ride on motorcycles. Anyone else remember those? Also, the old classic fighters when playing against friends were really fun as well.
