What are your favorite ice type PokeDex entries?
Alolan Sandshrew:
An ancient tradition of Alolan festivals, still carried on to this day, is a competition to slide Sandshrew across ice as far as one can.
Kinda curious how this experience would be for the Sandshrew itself. If it enjoys it too it sounds like it'd be fun!
If not though... =\
Alolan Ninetales:
Legends: Arceus - Dwells on sacred peaks perpetually covered in snow. Said to appear to virtuous people who have lost their way on mountain paths—it then guides them back down to the mountain’s base.
Ultra Sun - The reason it guides people all the way down to the mountain’s base is that it wants them to hurry up and leave.
They make it sound majestic, like a guardian deity living in the snowy mountains. And then Ultra Sun is just like 'nope, it just wants you gone.' xD
Snorunt:
Sapphire: Snorunt survives by eating only snow and ice. Old folklore claims that a house visited by this Pokémon is sure to prosper for many generations to come.
Diamond/Pearl: In the snow country, certain folklore says a house will prosper if a Snorunt lives there.
Ultra Moon: Rich people from cold areas all share childhood memories of playing with Snorunt.
I just find this interesting... whether it's just visiting or keeping one, Snorunt supposedly makes you prosper.
Galarian Darumaka:
Shield - The colder they get, the more energetic they are. They freeze their breath to make snowballs, using them as ammo for playful snowball fights.
Just, like, this sounds adorable and now I wanna play a snowball fight with them =D
Sealeo:
Ruby - Sealeo has the habit of always juggling on the tip of its nose anything it sees for the first time. This Pokémon occasionally entertains itself by balancing and rolling a Spheal on its nose.
I remember seeing a Dewgoing do this with a Spheal in New Snap, but I wanna see this too!
Mamoswine:
Violet - A frozen one was dug up from soil dating back 10,000 years. It woke up, to much amazement.
Never saw this entry before. So being frozen is just like taking a nap then for an Ice type then? =O
