    Continuing the trend of last week, we'll be doing another multiple choice vote, seeing as there are five poll choices this week. And a big thanks to Elaitenstile, who came up with our poll question this week. If you have a question that you would like to see featured in our POTW, feel free to drop me a VM or leave a question in your post. You'll even be rewarded with a special emblem for the contribution, so what is there to lose? Anyway, this week's question is...

    Which are your favorite of the Legendary trios?

    Again, remember this week is multiple choice, so pick as many as you'd like. With that said, feel free to start voting!

    I voted for the Lake Trio aka Uxie/Mesprit/Azelf. They're really adorable and I like their design the best of the trios, and each one of the three perform different roles stat-wise as well - Uxie being defensive, Azelf being offensive and Mesprit is the balanced one.
     
    My favorites are probably the Lake Trio (because adorability and Psychic-type) or the Bird Trio, because they are just so majestic and graceful.
     
    I voted for the Bird trio and the Regis. The bird trio are the original three legendary bird Pokémon, and are pretty much the first version of the "legendary Pokémon" concept. They've got this mystic design going about and they seem calm and graceful. I guess that gives plus points to them!

    The Regis were also really interesting. The solid elements of Rock, Ice and Steel that could be uncovered by this dang-awesome underwater excavation puzzle for blind people with an ancient sea creature and a huge sea creature. Talk about a hardcore puzzle for excavating three legendary Pokémon. Plus, we still have to go back and find their locations and catch them all. They can all join up and give rise to Regigigas, which is another thing I found really awesome. Overall, they're probably the most interesting legendary trio.
     
    I chose the bird trio, and the dog trio, with the birds being my absolute favourites. Zapdos is one of my favourite Pokémon to use, and Moltres is fun as well. While I don't use Articuno a whole lot, it's incredibly majestic looking, and that sells me on it.

    I'm not too big a fan of the Regis, and I'm not familiar with the last two trios.
     
    Chose the bird, and four-legged (?) trios mainly because I'm relatively familiar with them in comparison to the other ones. The older Pokemon series were my childhood so I'm well aware of what they're capable of (:
     
    I voted for the Lake Guardians and the lakitu Kami trio..or whatever Thundurus, Landorus and Tornadus are called.

    The Lake Guardians were among the first legendary Pokemon I saw, as when you play through Diamond's story, you have to rescue them from the lab. I felt bad for them, so I guess I caught them after I had got Dialga, as a way to put them in a safer home. :D nothing's better than being trapped all eternity in my PC box.

    I like how they look. They're cute as all hell, and also strong battlers. I'm looking at you, Azelf. You make an amazing mixed sweeper and lead in competitive battling, and you also have an amazing moveset. Uxie takes the hits like it's its job, and annoys you with things like Toxic and Heal Bell, keeping the team nice and healthy. Mesprit...well, Mesprit I haven't used, so I don't know to what extent what Mesprit is capable of.

    The 3 cloud god thingies (or "Forces of Nature" according to Bulbapedia) are also strong. Thundurus can troll you with Sub, Twave and Prankster, while Landorus hits harder than a truck with Sheer Force. I also like them for the Mario appreciation :]
     
    It's between the birds and the regis for me. The birds I think are truly a perfect trio. They have enough similarties while also having enough differences to be relatable yet different.

    The regis on the other hand are very similar to me. But I've always liked the fantasy of mecha fighters which is really what they remind me of. Any kind of mecha looking humanoid Pokemon is probably a Pokemon I like!
     
    I'm going to have to say birds and beast. Of all these six, my personal favorites are Zapdos and Suicune. They both generally look amazing in-design, and when battling, they could make really great team members. They are couple of the most amazing stallers out there due to their defenses, and have access to recovery moves, too, which is a plus. 8) I've used them plenty of times before; they're just simply amazing.
     
    Legendary dogs and regis. The regis had really cool designs and the best battle music in the entire franchise. Goosebumps each time. <3

    Legendary dogs had an awesome backstory though and great music to boot as well. I loved Suicune especially given how involved it was in Ho-Oh's story. The other trios don't really click with me as much.. even though they're all undoubtedly cool.
     
    I never really liked the Legendary Birds, except Articuno, when it comes to the games. The Lake Trio is probably my favorite since I enjoyed how they were caught in-game, they're adorable, and their sprites are always cutesy for some reason, but that's no complaint. :> The Forces of Nature trio are just flat out cool and probably have the best designs of all the trios in my opinion, plus they have alternate formes so they're automatically the best!
     
    I always liked the legendary dogs. Their colors and designs just stick out to me in comparison to the other trios. Recently I've started to use the lake trio in battle, and it's been pretty interesting, I'm starting to like them more than I used to.
     
    The legendary beasts are absolute menaces. They are the definition of Pokemon cool. Not to mention an amazing backstory, too. If I were a female Pokemon, my hypothetical underwear would be wet.
     
    Voted for the bird trio and the dogs/cats/beasts/hamsters/whatever trio. I just feel like they have the coolest designs out of the bunch, however biased that opinion might be (since I love birds in general, and the hamster trio was the first one I interacted with due to starting with Gold. So there's nostalgia involved). They're also the ones I've actually used in battles and know the legends of. The new legendaries don't really... do much for me. They don't feel that majestic or unique, most likely because nowadays, everyone and their uncle is a legendary (and because I haven't followed the anime and thus not seen them in action). In the beginning, we only had a handful. of legendaries, so each of them felt incredibly cool.

    I admit the Regis were fun to catch though. In the end I lost my braille chart and had to memorize it to catch them every time I restarted because I was dumb and did not think to look to the Internetz for help. Ah, good old times.
     
    I voted for the dogs and the Regis. The dogs are cool. They have interesting backstories and they have great designs. I can't tell why I voted for the Regis; they just stand out -- probably because of their unique design and concept.
     
    When I vote for the birds, I'm actually voting for Zapdos. It's my 2nd favourite pokemon for numerous reasons and most of its appearances in the shows/movies have been spectacular. Moltres I can't vibe with on any level because every single Fire/Flying mon is better than it, and have better designs/applications while Articuno invented the neckbeard. Agreeing with Zeffy that the Beasts have it made in terms of everything, they look so regal and have amazing music to boot *_*
     
    I just voted for the birds. They're the only trio I bothered capturing all of them. I love their design as well
     
    My favorite has always been the legendary dogs. As far as aethestics, I think that they look the best. The regis look too robotic to me, and I don't like the way the regis look. Also, the dogs to me just seem the most powerful of all of the options available. Aside from that and the nostalgia factor, the legendary dogs seem the hardest to get throughout the Pokemon games, I've had a way harder times trying to capture Suicune than I did Tornadus.
     
    Hmm... I can't say that I'm at all surprised at the bias towards the original two trios, with one in every two voters so far picking at least one of the two options.

    As for myself, I'll add a plus one for the original bird trio (Articuno is still one of my favorite legendary Pokemon) and for the lake trio as well. I still think that Uxie, Mesprit and Azelf should've been part Fairy type, but I'll overlook that and enjoy them for their roles in Platinum, especially in the Distortion World.
