How often do you get paid? Do you usually make it all the way until payday or do you survive paycheck to paycheck? Lastly of course do you think the work you do is worth the money you make?

Live like a king for a week, live like a pauper for 3 weeks.

I reckon I could be due a bit more for my job but I'm promised quite a lot in the future so it should pay off.

Rent takes away most of my check in the beginning of the month :<

That being said, if it's not around Christmas or other major gift buying holidays, I tend to be fine between my two paychecks. I make a nice amount, granted, we're understaffed and overworked so they had to make the perks worth it, otherwise no one would bother.

i spend all the money i have no matter how much i have
    its a problem
thank god for using a credit card as a payday loan tho bc i need to eat

also my job doesnt pay us on time ever? thats gonna change tho

i get paid every two weeks. i have a decent savings as i'm pretty good with my money. the work i do is very easy, but considering i do my job with very little mistakes compared to others i say they could bump me up some cash :)

paid the last working day of every month. I started my new job in the middle of feb so i'm actually getting paid 2 weeks money tomorrow (yay!)
I'm pretty good at making my money last and I usually have a bit left over once next pay rolls around but I still live at home so I dont have loads of bills to pay.

is it worth it? well I wouldnt have applied for the job if I didnt think it was worth the money but pay rises are always welcome.

this thread made me think that i was getting paid today but i have another week until payday :(

i get paid every other week on thursdays and i have a bit of spending money between checks. although lately the majority of my checks have been going to my senior dues, college fees, and in my savings for my dorm.

I get paid once every two weeks, on Friday. Since I'm not independent and still have most of my living expenses covered by my parents (with the exception of things I have to by myself such as my medicine, toiletries, and anything else I want), I've saved up quite a bit of money since I started working. Being a part-timer at a donut shop would not give me enough to live on my own at all... x'D

I work full time 40h weeks and get paid once a month. I immediately pay bills and settle scores with my roommate, then I put half of what's left over into savings, but always still have money left at the end of each month. The very decent salary really motivates me to do a good job c: I still haven't adjusted to actually being able to buy whatever food or items I want without having to live off oat grains for the rest of the month. Ah, being a student was so interesting sometimes.

Settle scores with roomy? Like come one fight bet roomy! And then the roomy says YOU ARE ON!!!!!!! lol i'm kidding. I am almost the same i work 8 hours per day (sometimes maybe 9 or 10) but the money is adequate for bills so the remaining goes either to entertainment or a charity :)

I get paid every other Saturday. We get by fine and try to "live under our means". Generally I am able to put a bit in savings every paycheck.

Bills add up quick, though! Rent, utilities, pets, phone bill, internet, car payment, etc etc etc...

Can I not be an adult, for like...at least a week?

I get paid once a month, at the beginning of the month. At the job I had last year, I got paid every other week. It doesn't really matter to me how often I get paid, as long as it's about the same overall annual salary. Right now, I'm generally running a surplus from one month to the next, and I have a bit saved up, so I don't worry too much about the bills unless something major comes up. I'm not in a position to set that much aside right now, but I don't tend to spend that much money outside of my rent and food costs (occasional entertainment, but not a ton), so things generally work out fine. I pay my credit card bill towards the end of the month, and everything else at the start of the month. I'm just happy to be net positive. A lot of my friends have quite a bit of debt to deal with, so I'm happy not to be in that position.

Payday is good, we work our butts off just for the sake of money, to live and to eat right? (: I get paid monthly from my part time job, so yeah. (:

Biweekly. I keep enough in my checking account to avoid monthly fees and the rest go into savings. Since I'm still living with parents (though not for long) I don't pay bills or anything but contribute when I need to, which isn't very often since we're pretty well off as an upper middle-class family aha. A small bit goes to video games and other luxuries while I save the rest in anticipation for my big move. :D

I don't have a job so I don't get paid. However when I was waiting for my Paypal funds to come in from selling on eBay it took two weeks or something to get paid (idr).

    I get paid monthly.

Kinda sucks having to try and manage funds, bills, etc, but it's probably better that way. Because adult.

I get paid biweekly and it just gets direct deposited into my account. By the time I pay bills, student loans, gas, etc. I usually have a bit left over for spending money as well as enough to put into savings.

I've spent the last few years saving up for a down payment on a house and I think I'm just about to the point where I'd be comfortable doing it, so that's where a lot of my savings goes.
