Bellibolt is the new reveal for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

It comes with a new Ability, and Iono wasn’t lying about having bumps being mistaken for eyes!

    Those aren't its eyes...

I love it. I think it's the first Paldea design, where I like both 2D and 3D art. I want one on my team. It also has cool ability that hits Bellibolt will be slow.

Also I love this piece of information: After the sun sets, you can hear strange noises coming from Bellibolt's habitat. This noise is not Bellibolt's cries, but a sound emitting from their stomachs–it is known that this sound signals that they are hungry.

Iono is right, it's pretty cute. I wonder if this is an evolved Pokemon, though? It definitely looks like a middle stage to me.

Not sure how I feel about its design yet, but I like its Ability. It seems like a real incentive to look for an Electric Tera-type one. STAB + Tera-type bonus + Electromorphosis = a real killer.

I was right too in that seeing Iono's official art would make me like her a lot better than seeing her 3D models did. She could easily be in my Top 5 for Electric specialists.

Yup, her official art is great! I knew she'd be liked a bit better than the 3D model.

Many players are saying that this Pokémon has the potential to be broken because of its ability. However, I am not fully convinced. Apparently, its ability increases the power of the next Electric-type move that it uses when it's attacked. Thus, basically, it is somewhat similar to "Charge" in ability form and only works when attacked. It doesn't actually boost the offensive stats from what it sounds like, meaning that the boost is likely temporary. Statistically, it also has to be bulky enough to take hits for this ability to completely work. Thus, I can't say whether or not this Pokémon would be good unless I see its stats and movepool, as I can't go by the ability alone.

Definitely reminds me of Palpitoad as well. I was kinda expecting a frog that looked more like Frogider. I am not a huge fan of it. I don't hate it, but I don't like it. The official art does make me like it a little more. But at most it is just going to be another pokemon I don't really care for one way or another. I am glad that it isn't a yellow electric type or a blue frog since we have so many of those.

But I don't understand why they call it an EleFrog type pokemon. I assume Ele stands for Element but even that doesn't make much sense to me. I originally thought it said Eelfrog lol.

I love the doppiness of its design. It goe so derpy on its face that its just adorable. with its abblity as well im hoping that with electric terra on it the dope would be a Auto Nuke Button. x3

It seems that of recently a lot of the newer Pokemon are either okayish looking or terrible, I would say in my opinion, Bellibolt falls flat on its face design wise, there isn't a thing about it I could say that is remotely nice, it looks like an uglier version of Palpitoad. It looks like if a child had gotten its hands on a whoopee cushion and gave it cartoon character details.
