*A Freshly Scented Garden* Grass-type Club

If our next game is going to introduce a Grass/Fire Pokemon, how would you feel about this? Try to speculate what plant/animal it is based on, guess its Ability and base stats too! Have fun!

Hmm, interesting. I think that's the only nonexistant type combination with Grass in it as of now? (Though I guess we don't have a permanent Grass/Dragon yet, huh?) Again, I'm bad at imaginative creative design, so the first thing that came to mind was a bellossom-like pokémon with torches and a fiery "dress" based on a fire dancer or something. Maybe with Solar Power or Flash Fire.

Or maybe a Sunflora evolution (with another Sun Stone!) where it's a more literal sun flower instead of a sunflower. Haha, I don't know!

I think it would based on the Mexican fire plant so it's a flower wearing a sombrero or an evolution to maractus. hmm now that I think about it that maybe I be a good typing for the mascot legendary for Pokémon Sun it would be a good contrast with a theoretical Ice/Ghost or Ice/Dark Mascot for Pokémon Moon.

- Reason for joining the club: At first I thought I didn't like grass type that much, as I don't use them a lot.... Then I realized I always choose the Grass Starter the first time I play a Pokemon Game... I love all the grass type starters!! And many grass types are so cute <3 I need to use them more..

You can choose any unevolved Grass Type Pokemon for your team. They will level up as you post in this club. I have given you a Bulbasaur for now. Let me know if you want a different Pokemon. :)

Many Grass Types are indeed cute. I have used every one at one point or another. There are some I need to use more extensively however.

I like your idea for a potential Grass/Fire Type. It sounds like a bulkier evolution or counterpart to Cacturne who also has Water Absorb as his Hidden Ability.

Answer to topic

If we do get a Grass/Fire Pokemon I can see it being a form of Plant. Maybe even a stylised form of the 'Fire Flower' from the Mario games. I don't think it would be a Legendary but I think it could have Chlorophyll as its ability Solar Power as its Hidden Ability with High Special Attack and HP.
 
Well I personally see a grass type E4 member as most likely being female. She'd wear a green flowing dress bits of fabric that look like petals hanging off of the bottom of the skirt.

In terms of a team, I would think that she would have a Rosearade, for bulk and a way to deal with Fairy types, as a different take on an E4 member I'd want her to have a Ninetales as a sun caster in order to activate the star of her team, Leafeon's, Chlorophyll in order to have a speedy sweeper with swords dance. As for other team members, I see her having a Liligant as a reflection of her own style.

I don't know if it will be a male or a female, or even a more ambiguous character, but it will probably be awesome and look kind of sweet/badass.

I do see a Roserade as the main Pokemon too.
I would see a Victreebell, a Breloom, and maybe a Amoonguss and/or Ferrothorn.

For the straegy, I do imagine a log of Synthesis and Sunny Day or something like that.
 
I'll get about to answering the new topic this afternoon, when I have the time. But for now, I'd like to request that my Tangela evolve, as three people have joined the club since I obtained it on page 11. (waveguidebuizel, AkioMoto, and Mawa)

Alright, let's see... Well, this Grass type Elite Four member would show off the more deadly side of the Grass type. His/Her room would have darkly colored (but not dead) trees lining the edges of the area, and plants like the venus flytrap, pitcher plant, hemlock, and Manchineel trees. He/She would be at the center of the room, sitting on a chair with thorny vines wrapped around the legs (of the chair).

His/Her strategy would center around disabling/status moves coupled with powerful attacks, with moves like Leech Seed, Sleep Powder, Stun Spore, Giga Drain, Horn Leech, Wood Hammer, and Petal Dance. Due to his/her team, attacks like Toxic would also show up.

The first time the player challenges the Elite Four, his/her team would consist of Parasect, Victreebel, Carnivine, Cacturne, and the ace, a Trevenant that can Mega Evolve (design and stuff is the same as my Mega Trevenant post). Any challenges after that, the team would change to Cacturne, Roserade, Maractus, Ferrothorn, Victreebel, and Mega Evolving Trevenant.

Answer to Topic - Create a New Elite Four Member

Name - Grace

Look - She has long brown hair decorated with a pink hibiscus as an accessory and wears a long green dress with an elegant design on. She will have a calm demeanour and wear glasses.

Story significance - The player will meet her in a Cafe early on in the game where she will give the player the Lucky Egg. Some NPC's will mention meeting 'a serene young woman with an affinity for Grass types'

Her Elite Four Room - Her room would be an elegant garden with numerous flowers in it and a few small Grass Type Pokemon such as Sewaddle wandering around. She will be seen reading a book as you enter before she greets you. The background music will be silent whilst in the room.

Pokemon used and strategy - Her team would consist of Ludicolo, Lilligant, Torterra, Roserade and her main Pokemon Meganium which can Mega Evolve.

Mega Meganium will be a Grass/Fairy Type and her Ability would make her immune to Poison. She would also have high defence and special defence.

Her strategy would consist of using the weather and sometimes Attract. Three of her Pokémon (Roserade, Lilligant and Meganium) will know Petal Dance and her Lilligant will know Quiver Dance. Her Roserade will also know Weather Ball.

Reaction upon defeat - She will congratulate you and take off her glasses. She praises you for remaining calm during your battle with her and wishes you luck against the rest of the Elite Four or the Champion if she is the last defeated.

I really like that the designs described for the grass-type Elite Four member are so varied! Goes to show that there are many sides to grass-types. Here's yet another way it could go.

What will they look like? What sort of Pokemon and strategy will they use? Who will he the star of their team?

They'd be a veteran ranger, either male or female would work. Their costume is based off the R/S/E ranger outfit, but more decorated to reflect their senior status. It would be an adventurous person that can adapt to many situations; this is reflected in the variety of dual types their pokémon have.

The team would consist of Whimsicott, Cradily, Roserade, Ludicolo, and Gourgeist. Whimsicott would start off the battle and can use Tailwind, Stun Spore, and U-turn, which lets it set up support and switch out to a pokémon appropriate for the situation. Either Whimsicott or Gourgeist would probably be the star of the team.
 
I ran into (and caught) a shiny Gloom yesterday on Omega Ruby! My games have a thing for giving me shiny Grass types, it would seem, as 2 out of the 3 shinies I have are part Grass. After careful consideration, I have decided to evolve it into a Bellossom and (hopefully) turn it into a star for the Cute Contests. Wish me luck!

Congratulations on your Latest Shiny Capture. :) Bellossom is a nice Shiny with the light purple body instead of the usual green.

Return is always a reliable move for a Cute Contest and Bellossom learns Leaf Storm by Heart Scale which whilst not a cute move always earn a lot of hearts.

Name - Helena

Design and Personality - She will wear an elegant green ballroom dress and have blonde hair pulled up in a bun. She will have striking blue eyes. The Region's Professor will point out that one of the Elite Four is 'a Trainer of Great Beauty'.

She will have what seems like an aloof personality but will question what Beauty and happiness really is on meeting the Player Character.

Story Significance - As is always the case with the Elite Four little but there will be a large billboard of her up in her hometown and the region's main city.

Her Elite Four Room - Her room would be similar to a grand ballroom with Ornate Decorations throughout. The chime of an organ will be heard in the background music.

Pokemon and Tactics - Her main Pokemon will be Lilligant. The Flowering Pokemon will also be able to Mega-Evolve and will be the same as the Mega Lilligant in my earlier posts. She will reveal during the battle that Lilligant was her first Pokémon.

Her other Pokemon will be Venusaur, Whimsicott, Sceptile and Roserade. She will also have a Milotic to tie into her Beauty theme and for type coverage. Her tactics would include Dance moves where necessary such as Swords Dance on Sceptile and of course Petal Dance and Quiver Dance on Lilligant.

Reaction upon defeat - 'It is always difficult to dance alone. You and your Pokémon are in Sync. It could be said it was a beautiful victory.'

A mega venusaur would be the star od the team, she would have a ludicolo , shiftry, abimasnow, ferrothorn and breloom.
She would aid the player in the quest to fins shaymin
She would be relaxed and funny she wears some funny clothes.
When defeated she would say: Good luck defeat them up ahead!!!
She would later give him the flower to transformar in shaymin sky

I always waited for a grass-type elite four member, every gen, and it never arrived.
I imagine a gentleman named Arboris, an adventurous professor researching flora in any remote and wild part of the world.
He would use Victreebel, Ludicolo, Exeggutor, Tropius, Shiftry, and finally Ferrothorn.
His room, a greenhouse where he would store, classify and grow some of his findings around the world.

Reason for joining the club: I'm obsessed with grass type Pokemon! In my quest to complete the Pokedex, my goal is to have every single grass type available! I'm even doing a grass monotype play through on my next copy of Pokemon (it'll be Y). I love hatching grass type Pokemon and have a hard time choosing between Leafeon, Venusaur & Serperior as my ultimate favorites. Leafeon was the first Pokemon that had me really in awe of the design, but Venusaur is the most dependable of the bunch IMO. ... I could go on and on about Grass type and why I should join this club. lol.
