What are some animes that you have seen personally but others probably have not? Maybe it's because it's not very popular, or didn't have a lot of advertising / reviews, or there are no accompanying material i.e. video games, merchandise, etc. or even just localisation: maybe it was exclusive to Japan and no one has dubbed it, and you only watch dubs.

    Just some ideas.

I love Yakitate! Japan. I think it's absolutely hilarious. It not only takes bread-making and makes it extremely fun and fantastical and crazy, but it parodies other anime and shows such as Naruto and DBZ. The reactions are absolutely hilarious and otherworldly.

Why don't I think people have seen it? Probably the content. From face-value, no one would pick up a manga or watch an anime depicted as being about bread-making compared to something hyper-sexualized or mega action-oriented or violent. They don't know what they're missing, though :pink_tongue:

Look up "Yakitate! Japan Reaction" on YouTube and you'll see how nonsensically funny it is :pink_nod:

Yakitate! Japan was pretty popular back in the day, actually :0 Never underestimate the intrigue of slice of life comedies. On with the anime hipster contest!

I can only think of two. The first is Un-Go. I still think I might be wrong about that, I wasn't really surrounded by people who watch or like anime during the time it was airing. But I didn't hear about it at all while it was on, and I haven't heard it be mentioned since. It was pretty okay, worth a peek, definitely -w-

The second is Kyoran Kazoku Nikki. It was absolutely hilarious, but I don't know of anyone who's seen it. It just wasn't popular at ahh aha. I literally only found it because I was a huge fan of MOSAIC.WAV(who does the opening) way back when.

The Cockpit. Its only a three part Anime, all of which are three different stories set during the end of world war two. It raises questions about war and mainly the corruption of Technological advancement for war as well as the futility of war.

First one is From German Perspective where the Germans have developed a Atomic bomb but the pilot who is escorting the plane it is being carried on allows RAF fighter to shoot it down, so the death of thousands of people isn't on his conscience (as well as the bombs creator asking him to destroy it).
Second one is from Japanese Perspective about a Kamikaze rocket pilot who is desperate to carry out his mission. The backdrop being he used to be a rocket scientist and dreamed of taking rockets to space rather than for war. Also when he completes him mission and hits a US ship, we hear one of the crewmen tell the captain of the sinking ship an atomic bomb has been dropped on Japan meaning effectively the kamikaze attack was in vain.
The third being again from the Japanese perspective about the retreating Imperial army and an older soldiers efforts to protect a young soldier from being killed.

    UGAAAAAA "animes"!!!

Okay, this list would probably be longer than what popular games I'm not interested in so,,, I won't mention many.

Since it was mentioned in the DCC, Pandora Hearts.
Drrrrrrrrrrrrrr since it just has 2nd season
    Bacano because Drrrrrrrrr.
    Idolm@ster because idols.
One Piece because it's the only one of big three I haven't even started.

wait the title is different than the question in the OP? anyway will reply to both!
anime that I haven't seen but should:
    - Baccano!
    - Cardcaptor Sakura
    - FLCL
    - Gintama

I see these names thrown around a lot so I should probably get to watching. As for anime I have seen but maybe people haven't:
    - Idolmaster
    - Nobunagun
    - Sankarea
    - Tokyo ESP

I don't spend much time in anime communities besides this one, so I could be totally wrong but I rarely hear these names.... there's probably more of each but eh.

Anime that I haven't seen but soon will: (Altairis oAo)
    Baccano!
    Nichijou
    Fooly Cooly
    Gintama
    Ao no Exorcist
    Deadman Wonderland
    Gatchaman Crowds
    Zero no Tsukaima
    Gurren Lagann
    Witchcraft Works

    Good but obscure anime/hidden gems:
    Dantalian no Shoka
    Working!!
Garo (meh, but it's pretty funny at times)

Yes with the confusing title and first post combo xD

    Anime I should have seen:
There's too many to name tbh all have been sitting on my to-watch list and haven't moved:
    • AnoHana
    • Ao no Exorcist
    • Baccano!
    • Clannad
    • Code Geass
    • Cowboy Bebop
    • Evangelion
    • Ghost in the Shell (Own but haven't started xD)
    • Kuroshitsuji
    • Mahou Shoujo Madoka★Magica
    • Samurai Champloo
    • Steins;Gate
    • Soul Eater
Just... too many and this is just a few of them

Anime I have seen, but a lot of people have not.
    • Inazuma Eleven, Major! and Whistle! (Sports animes buried under the pile of the current popular ones)
    • Danball Senki
    • Gekitou! Crush Gear Turbo
    • Shaman King
    • Kindaichi Shounen no Jikenbo Returns
    • Tantei Gakuen Q
    • Yumeiro Pâtissière
    • Rokumon Tengai Mon Colle Knights
    • Medabots
    • Gakuen Alice

    - Idolmaster

Recently had a conversation with a friend who's a huge iDOLM@STER fan. Said that because Love Live is so popular these days it's been buried beneath :/

    Anime I should have seen:
These are on my to watch list. I'm getting there.

    - Higurashi no Naku Koro ni
    - Spice and Wolf
    - Steins;Gate

Anime I have seen, but a lot of people have not:

    - A Kite
    - Devil May Cry
    - Kite Liberator
    - Onegai Teacher (a typical alien girl romance)
    - Samurai Flamenco (it's actually decent, it at least deserves an opportunity)
    - Uchuu Kaizoku Captain Harlock

    Anime I should probably see

    - Yes Precure 5 and Yes Precure 5 Go Go. I WILL watch them before the year is out.
    - A Certain Magical Index and A Certain Scientific Railgun.
    - Sword Art Online II...I suppose.
    - Baccano! and Durarara, because people are always getting on my case about me having not seen them.
    - Free! for the same reasons.
    - Anything ending in "gatari"

Anime I have seen, but a lot of people have not

    -
Every Pretty Cure series except for the one I mentioned above that I haven't seen. Outside of its confrontational, elitist and aggravatingly self-entitled fandom, Precure appears to be fairly obscure...
    - C: The Money of Soul and Possibility Control
    - OniAi
    - Rozen Maiden, Traumend and Overture...perhaps not Zuruckspulen, as that's fairly recent.
    - Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei
    - Vividred Operation

I expect anyone who looked at my list could come up with a lot more for both categories; I don't really pay much attention to what is popular at any given moment. I tend to pick titles out at random.

I'm having fun with "Is this a Zombie?" on Netflix right now, but it's more a casual anime, very silly.

I watched Grenadier many years ago. A bit of an older anime, but I liked it back then :pink_tongue: If you like big breasts and gunfare, then Grenadier is pretty OK in that subject.

Not sure if others have seen Grenadier given its age.

Kill la Kill, Madoka Magica, Katekyo Hitman Reborn (I've seen some of it, but I lost track after so long), Free!, Space Dandy, Blue Exorcist...

I know there's actually more than that but eh... I can't be fucked to remember. To be honest, I think I've lost interest in anime lately. I just can't seem to get into it like I used to as a teen. It's sad because I really do love anime so much. :( As for what I HAVE seen well... that could take all day for me to type up. 8D

I think one I've seen that others have not would be Argento Soma, it's a pretty old anime and still holds up against some of the new ones. I randomly came across it while just searching through genres and I was really impressed by it, my only issues with it was they replaced most of the subbed versions with dubs and I prefered the dubs :p

It's a great anime if you like Action, Adventure, Drama, Mecha, Sci-Fi, Military and a hint of romance.

Nobunaga Concierto was a recent anime which no one seemed to talk about, which made me feel like I was the only who had seen it. It was an amazing anime that does the whole time travel to start it off really well and how a high schooler from the future can become a legend from history.

Uhh some popular ones that I haven't seen that I probably should:

    Cowboy Bebop
    Idolmaster
    Love Live!
    Nichijou
    Space Dandy
    Tamako Market

I'm sure there are others on my to-watch list that are popular that I just don't realize, haha :b

Anime I haven't seen but should:
    Bleach
    Btoom!
    Cowboy Bebop
    Guilty Crown
    Hunter x Hunter
    Steins;Gate

Anime I have seen but many haven't:
    Dream Eater Merry
    Maoyuu Maou Yuusha
    Monster
    Pretear
    Wizard Barristers Benmashi Cecil

One anime I've seen that I know several others haven't is Silver Spoon. It's based off the manga of Hirmou Arakawa, who is famous for Fullmetal Alchemist. I think because Silver Spoon is more slice of life compare to FMA being more action-oriented, not many people checked the former out. It's a shame as I think it is a very nice heartwarming story about students trying to find their own way into the world. I do admit I'm slightly disappointed the anime ended in the middle of the manga version's storyline, but I still recommend checking both the anime and manga out!

As for anime I haven't seen yet that everyone else has, can Death Parade count? As far as I'm aware it's still airing, but I keep seeing it on my tumblr dashboard haha.
