April 2025 Archipelago (In progress)

@Setsuna, @Vendily, @Arcaneum

Setsuna, I found your Hotbeat, and Arcaneum, I've found your Surf HM. Alex_Among_Foxes, I found your Artifact of Chozo as well.

If I get two more Time Pieces, I can goal A Hat in Time:

One Time Piece is at VendilyOW's DB: Feldspar's Recorder, and another is at VendilyOW's DW Ship Log: Shrouded Woodlands Archive 3 - Origin

A third Time Piece is at SetsunaLG's Pattern Bush - Lass Joana Reward

A fourth Time Piece is in ArcLG's Cinnabar Gym - Super Nerd Derek Info.

There are also four unhinted Time Pieces somewhere that work just as well.

Thank you! I did get one from Cinnabar (can't do the Gym yet, don't have the Key) but I'll let you know right away if I pick another one up during checks

Setsuna LG: Hideout Key, Boulder Badge, HM06 Rock Smash, Bike Voucher, Helix Fossil

And with this I managed to clear Leaf Green! I'll give my full thoughts once the Archipelago is done, but here's a list of everything listed as Progression for any game that hasn't been completed yet. Hope it helps!

AlexEM: Good Rod
AlexM&L: Beanstar Piece 2
AlexZ1: Heart Container, Food
ArcLG: Moon Stone, Volcano Badge, Scanner
CherrimKH2: Torn Page, Aerial Dodge, Glide, Precious Mushroom, Genji Shield, Hero's Crest, Hades Cup Trophy, Berserk Charge, Slapshot, Guard Break, Lucky Emblem
DevalueStardew: Progressive Mine Elevator, Mining Level, Cranberry Seeds, Kale Seeds, Wheat Seeds, Jas <3, Robin <3, Jack-O-Lantern Recipe, Straw Floor Recipe, Carrot Seeds
ExplOfDarkness: Plasma gun, Refueling Base (MAP10)

ExplorerOfTime: Time Piece, Relic (Tin-foil Hat Cow), Relic (Chocolate Cake)
SetsunaBRC: 32REP
SetsunaFFV: 2nd Tablet
SetsunaKSS: Rice Bowl
VendilyOW: Launch Codes, Coordinates

@Vendily if possible, the item at:
GD Ship Log: OPC 2 - Purpose
is very important for my clear of Emerald. So at earliest convenience would be wonderful!

I'll add on to this, @Vendily whenever you pick this up:
SetsunaFFV's Pyramid Page is at VendilyOW's GD Ship Log: Control Module 2 - Status
please let me know! No rush of course, but it'll be huge to finally get it.

I believe you should have your two Time Pieces now, as I just did the Cinnabar Gym check

Yay! My Launch Codes!
I'm still running through all the checks that opened up, but along the way I found my Silent Running Mode. That means I'm only missing 1 item for GO mode, my Scout.

VendilyOW's Scout is at SetsunaFFV's Phoenix Tower - Phoenix Tower Pot (15000) @Setsuna
You get me this, and I can goal instead of opening up my remaining checks (but I'll be working on those still until I get it).

Edit: I almost finished off all the checks (DW is huge, and I had a number of other planets worth of checks, so I'm taking a break)
I can't get Explorer's Shovel for until I get either the Stranger Light Modulator (@Arcaneum 's Outcast Island - Team Rocket Grunt Reward) or the Breach Override Codes (@Cherrim 's (HB2) 1000 Heartless). Getting either would also help with getting checks in the DW region as it'll literally double the amount of time I can stay there.

YO, thanks for getting my Dive! I'll be going for the clear on Emerald right away!

I believe this is available for me? I'll get on it!

Edit: I just checked my tracker and it's not available, but FFV is in Go Mode so if I don't collect my Radar by the time I'm done with my checks I can try to clear the game and just release it for you. If it's not looking like I'll be able to clear then I can just hint for my Radar and go grab your Scout once I get it.

I've goaled A Hat in Time! Here are the following Progression Items I found:

AlexEM: Letter

AlexM&L: Winkle Card

ArcLG: Rainbow Badge

CherrimKH2: Identity Disk, Cure Element

DevalueStardew: Ancient Seeds, Krobus Heart, Leo Heart, Wizard Heart, Farm Computer Recipe, Bone Mill Recipe, Stepping Stone Path Recipe, Farming Mastery

ExplorerOfPast: Golden Sword, Big Key (Swamp Palace), Small Key (Ice Palace), Small Key (Ganon's Tower)

SetsunaBRC: 8 REP

Holocure (Update 5)
Unlocked the final stage. Stands pretty far out of stat logic for this. Needs one more Attack upgrade, one more Speed upgrade, and two Growth upgrades. Equals +12% Attack, +12% Speed, and +2% damage on main weapons and Special Attacks per in-game level. Usually hits level 50 right around 20 minutes, for the record.

Turned to Noel. Considered Fauna, the character with the first clear in vanilla. Loses a good bit of damage without Beetle (extra skill damage), however. Trusted in Noel's hitpoints. Ate the Pufferfish Meal, granting a massive +20% to Attack/Speed/Pickup Range AND +10% max HP/critical/haste. Mainly cared about the hitpoints and speed.

Needed that speed so badly. Targets you with lightning bolts all stage long. Strikes very quickly, to the point of not being able to get out of them, despite moving the whole time. Lost a revive this way. Seemed pretty grim, at first.

Never received any of the three +Speed items. Resorted to a desperate solution: the Lightness Stamp. Boosts your Speed by +20% at the cost of -20% of your main weapon's damage. (Improves to +40% Speed by strengthening it with other stamps.) Cannot recall ever taking this. Proved essential here, however. Helped just enough to outrun the danger indicators.

Led to a new (or, rather, a continuing) problem: killing enemies. Focused entirely on defensive items to simply survive. Left damage on the weak side. Remembers reaching the 14 minute mark with some bosses from the 10 minute mark still alive. Turned the corner on damage with the Elite Cooking collab. Racked up good damage while running.

Made it to Goriela, the 20 minute boss. Worried about damage once more here. Survives much easier by staying far away from the boss. Deals far less damage, in return. Struck a balance between damage and not dying. Won with one Revive to spare at 22:51. Spawns tough enemies at 23:00, if memory serves, so just in time.

[PokeCommunity.com] April 2025 Archipelago (In progress)

Listed all the released "progression" items.
  • Arcaneum: No. 1 Brig Key, Balfonheim Aeropass. Already finished, so kind of useless.
  • Cherrim: Donald Fantasia
  • Explorer of Time: Shredder Rounds (Viking), War Pigs, Phase Blaster (Warp Prism), Small Key to Ice Palace
  • Setsuna: L4 Qrter Blue Magic, Steal ability, and Dance ability. (Not progression, but potentially helpful?)
  • Alex_Among_Foxes: Z1 Heart Container
  • Devalue: Haley <3 (not that great)

Was there anything good behind the remaining talent stage clears? The Aeropass, Donald Fantasia, and the L4 Qrter Blue Magic. Did not have the group for the Aeropass either.

Lesson for next time: drop it down to 10 minutes per group, if not less. Was not interested in spending 20+ minutes for one check. Figured a situation this bad was unlikely, to be fair. Got most of the talent groups so early.

Stardew Valley (Update 4)
Finished Squidfest. Somehow managed to catch 5 squids without bait. (Got the third Progressive Fishing Rod a hair after that. Still helped for all the fish ahead. Would not mind the last Progressive Fishing Rod still.)

Found a new hated location: Gus at the Island Resort. Carries zero multiworld items with these settings. Sells every single item in one of the bundles, including a Pina Colada, which you can only get there. Took three in-game weeks for him to finally go there. (Picks a few random villagers to visit each day if it is not raining at the resort.) Thank goodness for the Gold Clock from Setsuna. Probably saved a literal hour of idling.

Dipped into the mines for a Help Wanted quest. Needed to go pretty deep anyways. Aimed for the bottom of the mines. Literally came this close:

[PokeCommunity.com] April 2025 Archipelago (In progress)

Received the Key to the Town from Alex_Among_Foxes at a good time. Almost bought it for Qi Gems when it came in. Purchased Hoppers instead and deconstructed them for Radioactive Bars. (Thought those were more useful. Only crafts Hoppers and Heavy Tappers with those.) Wound up being a good choice. Crafted a Heavy Tapper for Arcaneum's Boulder Badge.

Got more value out of Mushroom Boxes from Alex_Among_Foxes than expected. Came with a Dehydrator. Needed that for Raccoon bundles. Really appreciated the new Automate mod, on that note. Set it up to automatically collect from Crab Pots, Mushroom Logs, Mushroom Boxes, and Tappers. Is a big hassle to do that regularly, particularly the Crab Pots.

Tore through the rest of Winter and then Fall. Fast-forwarded through most of it except for a few birthdays and events. Probably should have done that sooner, given how "early" these seasonal events were (Sphere 2). Hates having to return to a season for something like fish. Might as well fiddle with crops for cash. Oh, and crafting. Maybe go to the mines too? Winds up being several hours later before long.

Went through the crafting list. Crafted everything available except Tub of Flowers (requires four different seeds), a fertilizer that wanted Radioactive Ore, and a few calling for tons of Iridium Bars. Even crafted the Anvil (50 Iron Bars) and the Mini-Forge from Combat Mastery.

Edit: Oh, and one unexpected bottleneck in crafting: Moss. Grows on older trees. Disappears during the Winter. Gets a ton from the Green Rain event...in Summer. (Another nice Automate mod thing: gathers the moss on connected trees too.)

Picked Stardew Valley pretty clean. Is not walled, but kind of close. What remains out of the 258 items?
  • Scouted bundles and shop items. Knows what all of those are, minus a few Raccoon ones. Probably accounts for 75 checks, as a guess.
  • A few expensive recipes and some from skills or as random multiworld items.
  • Summer events, Summer quests, and friendships from people born in Summer. (Could do friendships now. Goes faster in Summer. Logically expects that too.)
  • The bottom of the Mines. Also now level 25 and 100 of the newly unlocked Skull Caverns.
  • Three fish, two of which are from Summer rivers.
  • 8 Museumsanity checks.
  • Four Traveling Merchant days that are not unlocked yet.
  • Edit: Alllll the Special Order Board quests.

Maybe a few other odds and ends too, like the Maple Syrup and Sweet Gem Berry in the secret forest spot. Also the complete Rarecrow collection.

What is needed for completion? Ought to be getting close.
  • Kale Seeds. Got them.
  • A Pond for Caviar.
  • Strawberry Seeds.
  • Summer. Just got the Dig Site Bridge, so good on that.
  • A Fish Smoker (likely the recipe).
  • Removal of the railroad boulder for a fish.
  • Amaranth Seeds.
  • Artichoke Seeds.

Still quite a bit.

Not playing today, for the record, barring a quick hinted location.

I just cleared Emerald, so there's gonna be a ton of new items sent out! I didn't look them over, but it was around 300~ so I'd check if new stuff is open if I was whoever's currently reading!

I got a bunch more stuff from my Doom II since that game has also opened up significantly, and has a much higher check density than LttP. I'm only listing Progression items, but there's a ton of Useful items I haven't listed.

Alex Prime: Energy Tank

CherrimKH2: Disney Castle Key, Air Combo Plus, Blizzard Element,

DevalueStardew: Progressive Raccoon, Vincent Heart, Foraging Level

ExplorerOfPast: Pegasus Boots

SetsunaBRC: 1 XL Graffiti, 8 REP

SetsunaKSS: Screw Attack, Copy, Falchion, Ancient Gem

Now, with Doom II BKed again and all my other hints cleared off, I can start seriously playing Link to the Past, though this will have to wait until later today because of prior time commitments.

For @Devalue and @Alex_Among_Foxes, I've made the hints for all my Go Mode items in Doom II, now.

DevalueStardew: The Blue Keycard for The Crusher is at your Fish Smoker Bundle, and The Waste Tunnels are for sale as your Traveling Merchant Sunday Item 3.

AlexM&L: The Tenements' Red Keycard can be bought at Shop Trunkle Flag 1, and Icon of Sin is at your Beanbean Castle Town Beanstone 1.

The fifth Go Mode item is in my LttP, and is accessible already.

Arcaneum: Hinted for the Fish Smoker recipe. Finds that at Gulpin. Locations: Lost Cave B1F Room 2 (Land), Mt. Ember Ruby Path B2F Return (Land), Pallet Town (Good Rod), Pallet Town (Super Rod).

@Setsuna Grabbed Hammer.

DevalueStardew: The Blue Keycard for The Crusher is at your Fish Smoker Bundle, and The Waste Tunnels are for sale as your Traveling Merchant Sunday Item 3.
Cannot get either of those presently. Requires the recipe for the former (or getting one on its own) and Traveling Merchant: Sunday for the latter. Helps to know to check every Sunday once it comes, though.

Edit: Got that Farm Totem recipe from Foraging Level 8 just recently, as an extra note.

I got the Shovel and cleared all but the final A Short Hike checks. I found a Dwarf Heart for Stardew and a Moogle Suit for FFV, plus a non-progression EXP Share for Emerald.

Once Arcaneum fishes up that Ralts on Route 19 with the Super Rod, I will be able to goal this game and get its last check. No rush, though, since the last item is a hint_locationed Fluffy Tail.

Setsuna: L4 Qrter Blue Magic, Steal ability, and Dance ability. (Not progression, but potentially helpful?)

More niche, but definitely helpful if I grab them in the early game. Level 4 Quarter can be nice if you don't already have the Quarter time magic, or if you just can't use !Time. Thank you for Hammer, as well!

Moogle Suit for FFV

This is progression, I'll be able to grab a little bit of stuff with this, FFV is in Go Mode but the final boss is often a difficulty spike I have to spend time preparing for, so I'm planning on cleaning everything out, stopping right before the end, and then cleaning out BRC and seeing if that game + the time it takes me to clean it grants me anything that helps the FFV grind.

I've got to step away for a few hours to get some stuff done IRL, but once I come back I'm pretty sure my last game is in GO mode, so I'll be doing that tonight sometime. Metroid, Z1, and Emerald are all cleared and released, just 1 more to go!

@Explorer of Time Snagged the Blue Keycard for The Crusher map.

Received a lot of the remaining required items today. Down to just Artichoke Seeds and Amaranth Seeds. Theoretically finds them on the Traveling Merchant (not as a check). Comes down to pure chance, of course.

Would still take time to finish. Involves catching several fish, planting all the crops (some of which require gold star quality), and getting enough Sturgeons for the fish pond.

[Hint]: CherrimKH2's Lucky Emblem is at Palace of Darkness - Shooter Room in ExplorerOfPast's World. (priority)
[Hint]: CherrimKH2's Lucky Emblem is at Thieves' Town - Boss in ExplorerOfPast's World. (priority)
[Hint]: CherrimKH2's Lucky Emblem is at EotE Ship Log: Cinder Isles 1 - Visit in VendilyOW's World. (priority)
[Hint]: CherrimKH2's Lucky Emblem is at Trainer Tower Lobby - Shop Item 6 in ArcLG's World. (priority)
[Hint]: CherrimKH2's Lucky Emblem is at Pokedex - Dusclops in ArcLG's World at Cerulean Cave B1F (Land). (priority)
[Hint]: CherrimKH2's Lucky Emblem is at Aqualiss - Fatty Whale in SetsunaKSS's World. (priority)

Just need 4 more of these to beat my game so I spent all my hints. Hopefully some of these aren't bad to get! :)

Finished! Thanks again for running! :D
