Casual Archipelago (Complete)

You know what, I'm actually feeling kind of burned out by Starcraft 2, so I'm going to just finish my goal for that game, !release, and stop writing fiction for now. Three SC2 Archipelagos in two months is just too much Starcraft for such a short period of time, and it'll release a couple hundred items for everyone who's stuck.

If you want what I had planned for the rest of my fiction, it was basically just the rebels fighting back against, and beating, the Koprulu Federation, and a follow-up war between Raynor's Raiders and the Eggman Empire after I had beaten Sonic Adventure 2. Not as interesting as last archipelago which had a half-dozen factions fighting each other.

I've made my way to my goal mission, Into the Void, so all I have to do is beat it to get the unlocks everyone needs.

There, goal complete, and I released 382 items.

@Devalue, I have your Giga Coaster ready, @Count Arcula, I have a Mirror Shield for OoT and some SA2 upgrades for you, @Alex_Among_Foxes, I found you a Red Boomerang and some Keys, @Vendily, I found at least one Golden Feather for you, and @Setsuna I found you some Castlevania stuff I don't recognize and a massive amount of REP for Bomb Rush Cyberfunk. There's probably more stuff I didn't see, so everyone should check their games if they were previously stuck.

As for myself, I found a lot of Doom and Doom 2 stuff, including my Doom 2 Shotgun. I also found Knuckles' Sunglasses, Shadow's Flame Ring, and some Emblems, but I am somehow still stuck in Sonic Adventure 2 despite that, since the two items I did get only unlock checks locked behind missions I need these characters' Mystic Melodies for. I now have 29 Emblems, leaving five more to unlock my last level gate, and three more after that to unlock Cannon's Core.

Thank you! I'll take a look tomorrow morning and work out exactly what I can do, but lots of REP means lots of progress for me and I'll continue pushing at least BRC forwards. Sorry to hear about your burnout, but your writing has been enjoyable to read and witness! More updates from me will come tomorrow, I'm sure.

@Alex_Among_Foxes A heads-up: May be a little quiet here over the weekend. Planned to start another fast-paced Archipelago because of the first one finishing in two days. Figured you were not watching the Discord about it and would want to know why progress was a little slow. Could still see some activity if people get walled in that one early, though.

Open RCT2 (Part 6)

Built a quick-ish Giga Coaster for the goal completion. Released only 6 items. Included White Chuckola Fruit for PoryKid and 32 REP for Setsuna, though, so not too bad.

Had fun trying out the game. Likely gives it another shot in the future. Wonders how different it will feel on another playthrough, though. Could feel too same-y (see: Terraria's problem). Presumably gets different roller coasters for a much better start. Hopes for a future option to lower the number of required rides in the future. Did not feel that fun to just plop down 4 of the same pre-made ride. Would rather require 1-2 rides with certain stats (which there is options for) or X unique roller coaster types in the park.

Zoomed-out view:

Came with the scenery and different colored islands. Constructed most of the unique rides on the desert island (below). Filled the snowy area with 7 Steeplechases and little else. Stuffed the purple island full of 5 Air Powered Vertical Coasters and one Giga Coaster.

Did not own the other islands (probably?). Tried buying tiles on the orange island. Cost a fortune. Dropped from enough cash to build tons of roller coasters to flat broke. Only bought some water tiles and maybe enough room for one roller coaster. Thank goodness for having a save file from right before that.

The starting desert island:

Cut off some of it. (Offers too few zoom levels.) Shows a good amount. Handmade all of the roller coasters you can see here. Also contains a bunch of small rides like bumper cars that were spammed out. (Not pictured: Two really tiny monorails.)

Eevee to the Past (Part 7)

Did not gain too much from the Starcraft 2 release. Received just enough health to buy the last shop check (nothing good). Appreciates the Blue Mail. Turns Eevee into the shiny sprite. Seems more appropriate for Red Mail, but whatever. Wonders what color that will be.

Sorry to hear you're burning out... Your RPs were great, so thanks for doing them while you were in the mood.

Edit: And thanks for the update @Devalue!

Got a handful of things to do today but a big one is gonna be checking my games to see what's open to me and making progress whenever possible. My previous session of BRC was reaching the next area, and today's is completely cleaning out the previous area (which has already been done) and moving on to Pyramid Island! I'll hopefully be getting some good stuff for people today. Will deliver any updates if necessary.

Today's Archipelago cleanup was a lot smaller than I expected it to be, I managed to finally grab everything in Millennium Mall, but the big thing was getting most of the items in Pyramid Island (though I'm blocked by another REP gate I'm 10 short from clearing) and I actually managed to do a cute little sequence break to get up to the top of Pyramid Island and claim those items early without having to worry about that REP gate or the boss of the area keeping me from them. Unfortunately, that gate is still blocking me from other items in the area and progressing the story, so it'll have to be taken down. Again, please let me know whenever you get any REP for me!

Obtaining both the Soul of Mist and the Gold Ring in Symphony of the Night was exciting, but they don't unlock a lot for me on their own. I should've figured having the Gold and Silver rings doesn't just outright give you the Holy Glasses, those are another check entirely somewhere out there in one of our games. It was only three checks, but the really big thing was finally being able to !hint for my Gravity Boots, which is locked behind Final Rush - Chao Key 1 in Arc's SA2B. I'm assuming once I can get either that or the Soul of Bat, as well as the Holy Glasses, wherever they may be, that's when the entire game will be open to me.

Metroid Prime is sadly still locked behind some stuff, but the big one seems to be the Power Beam now, since a good third of Phendrana and a few checks such as one at the entrance to Phazon Mines and one near the end of Magmoor Caverns are locked behind Power Beam doors. I think I'm in that familiar situation of needing lots of little items that will only mark off a few checks each, but will come together to open the whole game. Having the Ice Spreader will help for the final boss though!

The Messenger is still pretty much gated behind the Rope Dart, as obtaining it will allow me to completely clean out six entire areas in the game. Though I did managed to completely clear out the Cloud Ruins, leaving 13 remaining. The Lightfoot Tabi and Magic Firefly are probably what's gonna get me most of the remaining items in other areas, and one is completely locked behind still needing Acro and Necro.

Thanks to Arc getting me my Gravity Boots, I was able to clean out a lot of Symphony of the Night! The one big thing I need is the Holy Glasses, which is in FF12's Feywood. That'll let me clear out most of the remaining 50% of the game. I took proper notes this time, so here's an entire list of what I got people, sorted for easy viewing:

Now that I've spent most of yesterday recovering from Covid, I was finally feeling well enough to play through my remaining unlocked Doom 1 levels. I found the Blue Chaos Emerald for Arcaneum, and got some more REP for @Setsuna to clear out the next REP gate. I also found my own Mystic Melody for Knuckles, unlocking a few more checks in SA2B.

Glad to hear you're feeling a bit better EoT!

Do you have access to "Death Chamber 3"? Cause it's got one of my most important items somewhere in there lol. @Explorer of Time

To unlock the level, I need two more Emblems, and to actually complete it, I also need Knuckles' Air Necklace. I haven't hinted for these since there's likely 18 Emblems left floating around somewhere (out of which I only need 5), and the Air Necklace only unlocks this check and one other check in Death Chamber.

EDIT: I misread my map, I already have it unlocked. I just need the Air Necklace to get it.

Thankfully I don't believe it requires completion to get my item, so as soon as PK hopefully gets my red Cane for ALttP I can start trying to find more Emblems for you.

I do need to complete my Mission 3 to get the item; it's just how my game works. The only other check requiring the Air Necklace is Death Chamber 5, which requires me to beat Death Chamber 3 to access.

Noted. Either way, PK got me my Cane, so hopefully I'll find some good stuff!

@Setsuna I figured out how to sequence break another four Sonic Adventure 2 items, and got 16 more REP for you.

I am still completely walled in all three of my remaining games, and I am waiting for more items to play them more. If anyone can log on and get stuff, that would be much appreciated so I have something to do.

I too am walled to my current knowledge of ALttP, though that means decently less than it would were my world not entrance rando'd lol. And I'm 100% stepladder locked in Z1.

Edit: turns out I forgot I was also fire locked in Z1. I've hinted for all 3 sorces of fire, but the one that seemed the most doable was the one in my ALttP Turtle Rock big chest. I need the TR big key for this, though, and I'm one check shy of a hint for it in ALttP... >.> As long as I get that key I can finish at least a good portion of Z1.
Edit again: Found out I was a bozo and somehow thought I'd already bought a shop item (twice lol) that I apparently didn't. I got my hint and once again my really ipmortant item wound up in PK's world, IN THE SAME AREA as the last one... >.> Why did so many of my important things end up buried in the WooHoo Hooniversity LOL?

@PoryKid575 Is there anything you need to progress further? I also have a critical item locked behind your game. I can clear and !release Sonic Adventure 2 with just your game's Chaos Emerald, two Emblems, and a specific Doom 1 skull key I haven't yet hinted for.

I've played through the next two Doom maps I just had unlocked, but didn't find much apart from a Missile Expansion for Metroid Prime, and an Emblem for Arcaneum. I wish I could've kept that emblem, since I'm only one away from the max I need to complete my own Sonic Adventure 2. I also hinted for the Skull Key that unlocks the Doom 1 room with Sonic's Flame Ring, and it's in Pants Shop Birdo Flag 3, in PoryKid's Mario and Luigi. Once I get that skull key, the Chaos Emerald at Joke's End, and one more Emblem, I will be in Go Mode for Sonic Adventure 2 and will be able to release my second game.
