christmas 2020

My family is celebrating christmas early this year, since all my siblings won't be able to get together on the 25th.

I text back and fourth with my oldest brother about games we've been playing through the year, then on christmas when we meet, we exchange some of them.

Once again it will be celebrated alone with my narcissistic aunt. Doesn't help that we're fighting again right now and I ain't sure when it'll all blow over again. I'm just saving up for a new PC is all.

I may go to my dads if he invites me but otherwise I don't do much.

I'm not sure what I'm gonna get anyone... usually my family meets up at a hotel to celebrate since we have a lot of kids and grandkids, but with covid, Mom's already given up on all of us meeting in person. Which is sad because that's basically the only time I see my stepbrothers and uncle.

I think Mom mentioned possibly having us still do gift exchange -- a lot of us can't give everyone gifts, so we'll usually do gift exchange, where you get assigned one person to give a single gift to. In which case, whoever I draw is gonna get something shipped to their house, haha.

It's likely I will still do Christmas day with my boyfriend's family, which is way smaller and everyone going lives in the local area. I don't usually get anyone there anything... maybe boyfriend and I should throw something together for his parents this year.

I never care what I get for gifts. Usually I have to scramble to suggest stuff when someone asks. It's the thought that counts more than anything.

why don't we just cancel Christmas this year tbh

also it's september it's too early to be thinking about Christmas, don't you think? Think about Halloween first, thank you.

I want a Playstation 5, but I'll be lucky to get my hands on one of those the way Sony are handling preorders >.>

My grandparents usually come down for Christmas, but that won't happen this year. It'll probably be just like any other day except for presents, decorations, more films than average on TV, and I won't have to work...or I'd better not have to, at least. If work wants me to work on December 24th, 28th and 29th, I will be VERY angry.

seeing that for obvious reasons there won't be a family get-together of sorts, i imagine it'll unfortunately pretty much be like any other day. which is especially sad considering that we haven't even done christmas trees for the past 2 years or so, not surprised if this becomes the third.

ah well.

I haven't thought about it lolol

I don't think about it until November, but I would like to consider picking some things up while sales are on.
I know for sure, I'll need to get my cousin something anime related and something drawing related.
Then maybe a few soft toys for their sister... I'm really not certain atm. I'm not even sure if it'll be possible to see them at Christmas because of the rules being made stricter now. ;;;;;;
I try not to think about it around this time, but I know grinding up the money will have to start now.

Haven't thought about it at all - our family used to be very big on Christmas but we would often be away from home on the day itself (on holiday, road trip etc.) So we don't really do a Christmas tree and presents anymore but I think we'll be taking a trip somewhere to do an activity like hiking. Perks of Christmas being in summer I guess :')
