Speaking of colours of names, weren't Supporters once italic blue? Not complaining, I really like [supporter]this[/supporter].
 
They were. To be honest, I actually really liked it back then. Not trying to say green looks bad or anything, but blue just went the flow more, sort of.
 
Yeah, they were italic blue until...February of last year? I wasn't even around when that happened but it's almost going to be a year since we had that change.
 
Green certainly is different from the mod color, which is nice and we stand out more, but actually not too many people look good in green. XD It's hard to make it work with themes, if you're the type of person who bothers working with / matching username and theme colors.

Oh good I wasn't going crazy then, I was really confused when I first came back and my name was green.
 
I prefer green supporter names over blue, mostly due to blue being the mod color. The shade was pretty similar. But as I think I've said many times before, we should totally get Seagreen instead of this "event organizer" green we have now ;) I doubt another color change is around the corner though. There were years between the ancient purple supporters and the change to blue, and then years before we became green. It's good to know we have some influence on this particular supporter perk tho <3

Yeah they were indeed changed to green around this time last year, can't believe that anniversary is fast approaching. I've gotten too attached to the green that it's hard for me to look at old screencaps of when my name was still blue.

I was very attached to the old blue when the green switchover came, because I was worried the green name would ruin my signature Oshawott-themed profiles, that's what led me to trying different stuff and eventually led to my current tendency to have those monochromatic profile colors. Man if I like, suddenly became a mod or something or even if supporter colors changed again in the future it would take me ages to get used to seeing a different color on my name again.

But at least this green still makes us stand out from the mods because there were occasions during the blue era where I was suddenly approached by a newbie and they thought I was a mod.

Oh, and do you think Hikamaru would look nice? Blue is always the color for Water-type fans you know.

It would definitely look beautiful.
 
Yeah, I think that color would be pretty neat. And since she's almost always posting in the Welcome Lounge, I think she'd be the perfect mod for that job.

Yeah I remember a time not many welcomed newbies aside from a select few members, but yeah it seems to have been getting active lately, even while Sheep graduated to the higher staff.
 
Don't you think Synerjee's got it covered? Would be a pity if people only posted there to snatch a mod position, yeah :p Then again, that's probably how many mods get decided. Gotta show your capability, I suppose. I don't post there much at all, only when I (rarely) find a thread that has 0 replies (because after some people have posted, there's really not much more to say but "hi" :x ) and says something that interests me.

I'll pop in the Welcome Lounge every once in a while to say hello and look for fellow writers, but I've been getting pretty lazy with that recently. I should start welcoming again...

Anyway, I really like that seagreen color. We should totally use that for... something.
 
When I modded that section, my goal every day was to be sure everyone in that section gets at least a welcome and not end up without a greeting in their thread. It was a lot of work, but I felt pretty good about it. Even made a few friends along the way, and some of them became wonderful and outstanding members *points to Jellicent, Alex, and Janna*. I'm really glad it's still the case right now as it had an increase of regulars there. :)
 
TWL was my home for most of the summer, until ZachLMedia happened.

Anyways, just go look at my section. A mod candidate is selected because h-staff believes that they can bring good to the section and keep it going and run it well. Before I was mod of my section, the section didn't have as many topics and posts as it does now, and some days the section went without a post. Nowadays, I see my section being posted in daily, and it not only leaves a good impression for the section, but also a good impression to the forum as a whole.

I surely remember when you lifted Technology & Internet out of its "dead" phase, out of the three mods I witnessed in that section during my time here (twocows, [supporter]Hybrid Trainer[/supporter] and yourself) you did a great job to get activity thriving, and one claimed you were the most active T&I mod since [supporter]Zet[/supporter].
 
I'm going to agree. Zach, you've done a wonderful job with T&I. :)

I'm forcing myself to post in other sections more. I've fallen in love with VG and a bunch others since I started omg. ٩꒰ ˘ ³˘꒱۶~♡

Also I'm rather fond of Strawberry or Strawberry.
