I didn't set mine when I first joined because the feature wasn't implemented until like a year or two later. XD

I keep myself as quirky because I like to think that my sense of humor is just a little weird. XP

Just curious, if y'all had to recommend one game to play to someone who was wanting to get into video games - regardless of console or genre of gaming - which game would you recommend?

I'm curious to see what some of your favorite games are (:

Well...

You talkin' sci-fi RPGs, shooters, Japanese RPGs...??

It's hard to know what to recommend, since gamers really love or hate some of those types. XD;

Mass effect. The story and the customizations are great. Besides, actions span over to the other two games. I spent so many hours with side quests, and romancing people

I'm more into JRPGs myself, so I like the Persona series a lot, and various games from the Tales series. Those are both stylized with anime art. Persona is kind of dark, and focuses around demons, and tarot cards, and murder mysteries and such. Usually there's also a high school setting, since the main characters are normally teens. The various Tales games usually all take place in different fictional worlds, and have a lot to do with magic, and swords, and shields, and knights, and princesses, monsters, etc. The characters are really likable, but you kind of have to like anime to a certain extent to enjoy them fully.

Persona is turn-based battles, and Tales is usually real-time instead of turn based, where you have free-roam of the battle field.

This. THIS.

Mass Effect is the greatest series known to man.

I cried, CRIED, when certain characters.... just...

Yeah.

But Phantom's list of favorite RPG's.

Mass Effect, Elder Scrolls Series, Dragon Age, Fallout, Dishonored, Deus Ex...

Basically, you can't go wrong with games made by Bioware or Bethesda. Both are great companies. Bioware games will rip your heart out though. You get ATTACHED to their characters.

StarCraft II. Such a amazing RTS game and it is F2P in a few ways, you only cannot enjoy ladder games and the campaign on the F2P edition. 3 really different factions who operate really different and lots of strategies, this game is also fun to play and learn with friends :)

Honorable mentions are Renegade X (totally Free FPS), C&C Tiberian Sun, Far Cry 2&3 and Red Alert 2

Favorite game.... damn... there is a lot of titles to go through.

Mario Party 2, Steambot Chronicles, ChoroQ, Halo: CE, etc etc.
At the moment, I've been playing Burnout: Paradise though, the free roaming, crash-happy fun. :p

I'm most fond of the action-adventure genre as codified by the Legend of Zelda series, but for my nostalgia fix, you really can't go wrong with anything in the Metroid Prime trilogy. It's simply fantastic use of first-person perspective for the adventure genre.

Resident Evil. I can't recommend just one game, but the series is good. They leave a few things up for speculation, & the cast is remembrable

Not sure about Resident Evil, since I'm not too fond of horror. xD" One series you've gotta try, though, is Assassin's Creed; you'll love it. Personally, my most favorite game from it would be AC II. It's got an amazing art style, and the storyline is very easy to get dragged into.
