I didn't play Skyrim, in fact I don't do much gaming outside of Pokemon these days. And I always felt Skyrim was the most overrated game in the Elder Scrolls series, probably because I hear it getting talked about so much.

Skyrim looks really pretty, but I know me, and if I played it I'd be hooked for a few days, and then never play it again. It looks a little generic? Idk. I'd rather play MMOs if I'm gonna play that kind of game.

Skyrim is not my thing and it never will be. I don't like games like that, sorry to say.

It's been ages since I had last played an MMO, haha. I really want to try something new, but can't think of anything. Suggestions, anyone? Would be nice if it were browser-based. d:

I was so big on Maplestory a few summers ago. I'd stay up all night playing it and got my character from level 10 to like level 55. I haven't touched an MMO in a while though. My brothers and I would obsessed over Runescape back in the day.(2002 to like 2006.)

Skyrim on the otherhand, I have yet to try. We have it, but I've haven't been arsed to put it in our Xbox and start a game myself.

Runescape's apparently gotten a lot cooler recently. I made a new account there like last year when the new stuff came out and then ignored it tho. Freaked me out because the tutorial had a story and CHARACTERS HAD VOICES

It's definitely a game that you need to set time aside for. Once you get immersed in it it's really addicting. I put in way too many hours into that game, so just wait till your done with classes and whatnot.

I still enjoy World of Warcraft 8) But then again, I'm much more into cute, colorful stuff and rich, not-too-realistic lore than grim worlds and hypermodern graphics.

Yeah I understand you, because I love cuties as well. That's what got me attracted to Pokemon, it's full of cute faces and color!

Yeah, adorbs. If you would like just one cute, colorful and somewhat nerdy thing, it should be pokémon.

Could you imagine what Pokémon would be like if they had changed their demographic to a more... mature audience?

If you ask me, those look pretty scary. @_@

dat Snorlax

I think it would be pretty darn cool if they made an anime or manga where pokémon were portrayed as more realistic and even scary creatures. And where they didn't get "whirly eyes" when they were knocked out - they could actually get hurt and die.

Not that I'm a big fan of pokémon dying in stories and whatnot. Okay, maybe let's not make them die. Though, that even happened in Pokémon Special/Adventures.

Wait, why did I think this was the PGen DCC all of a sudden? dakjshds

I love the way the Pokemon turned out, they are colorful and made to appeal to everyone, which is why the fanbase is so diverse and that's why PC still exists today.

Yeah, it would really scare the target audience wouldn't it? Kids don't like scary things, even if older fans want changes. It's the kids that come first, the kids!

I agree here, Pokémon was first made to appeal the kids, I hope Pokémon will keep on lighthearted and not too scary, because I think it will be better that way. And this reminds me, when a certain popular kids show wants to take different approach to appeal the mature audience, the result was a big failure because the kids are afraid to watch that show.

Realistic pokemon art bothers me. They look freakish and more?? Unrealistic than their original sprites or art. Kind of like that art of pokemon swallowing their trainers whole but their blushing. The oddest crap, sometimes. I swear

I totally agree with Miracle Seed. Realistic Pokedrawings look freakingly scary and trauma-inducing. Im glad the games are geared towards kid, so that we can enjoy the pretty and not-psychologically-harmful sprites :)

I can appreciate art of any kind as long it is well done. :D Although I'd agree that a semi-realistic style would be hard for anyone to like when it comes to pokemon. Especially because we've been so accustome to what we have now.

I love most pokemon art, but I agree that the super realistic looking stuff is a bit creepy. I end up being the one who's jealous of other people's art. I'm not the greatest artist in the world, and all I can draw are chibis. DX

My senpai can draw so good though. He doesn't draw pokemon unless of course someone asked him too. XD I adore his art so much though. I see him at my anime convention every year, and I always have him draw a sketch of something for me. :D
