whenever someone tries to drop a serious/controversial subject they know will do nothing but start a fight, i generally take that as my point to say goodbye and find something else to do.

if i send someone a fresh meme and they reply with something from the early 2000s then i'm out. i have trouble talking about political stuff too, especially in small talk, so if i'm not feeling great then i'll end it there as well. 'i support man united/palace' kills not only the conversation but also the relationship entirely, but apart from those few things i'm ok
