I seeeee...the film was one of my favourites growing up, haha. I read the book when I was 13 I think...really, I should re-read it, because I remember getting very bored and very confused at points. But it's a pretty detailed book, and I think I was expecting a story as easy to understand as the movie.

I don't blame you, either...General Woundwort STILL frightens me. You just know he won that battle at the end. xD

I'd definitely recommend a re-read! I never use to bother with those "long-winded" books either. I simply didn't have the patience for endless descriptions and huge paragraphs, haha. Yet I found Watership Down an easy and compelling read, for Richard Adams had a very eloquent command of language. I love his use of metaphor.

I always thought so as well. xD

Because you guys mentioned it here, I actually just today sat down and watched the Watership Down movie for the first time. It reminded me to a very high percentage of The Animals of Farthing Wood.

Well, I've changed quite a bit since I was 13, haha. I read a lot of high fantasy, so I doubt I'd find it as taxing as I did when I was just starting to read more than Goosebumps books. xD

Dogs aren't dangerous!

I used to watch that as well!

I remember that scene. xD And I remember Goosebumps Books too! <3

We have The Animals of Farthing Wood on tape, which we'd listen to a lot around ten years ago. I tried watching an episode recently for a nostalgia trip, but it was so cringey. xD That otter's laugh, mostly, haha.

if only i wasn't bored everytime i would go to the library so i can actually read. ;___;

... and sadly I'm not a movie person, so I rarely go out and see those...

I don't think I was ever able to see watership down all the way through

The last movie I saw in theaters was The Greatest Showman. I still need to see Avengers.

Oh god, the last time I was at a theater was back in 08.

Some movies are worth seeing them on the big screen, some are worth to wait until Netflix puts them on, so I understand that.

I will say that the movie theater experience has changed drastically along with the ticket prices.

Ticket prices here are disgusting, which one of the main reasons I've not been to the cinema in a while...the other reason is that the earliest screen for anything I want to see is either 10 or 12.

Then there's the adverts. God almighty. Autism friendly screenings never have adverts, but those are usually around 11 or later and there's the risk the cinema will be very noisy.

curious: do you just hate crowded places in general?

Not especially? I mean, I don't like being jostled about by people in crowds very much, but I've never been particularly uncomfortable in crowded places or anything.

see i thought that might've been one of the reasons why you avoid going to theatres. :P getting up early enough to avoid theatres getting too busy and all that.

Nah, I'm just a morning person. There are other reasons that have nothing to do with other people that I generally avoid going out in the afternoons.

Although with movies I do generally prefer to go when its less busy, if only because people never shut up sometimes and it's irritating to have to listen to other people whisper/eat/laugh when I paid an outrageous price to see the film >.>

Same. I would hear my friends see like several movies twice, and then there's me who haven't gone to the theaters since 08/09 because I hate ticket prices.

Yeah! It's very expensive and the food is overpriced too.

Find out when they have the lowest ticket prices available and bring your own food or eat before getting there. Any food that can fit in your pockets should be fine.

guys help it's like 3:30 and i havent even gotten to bed yet

what is with me staying up until insane times in the morning. this is going to kill me when i start my job. @__@
