Yeah, that is definitely bound to slow you down! xD Even though I have fairly decent internet, I found that leaving Dropbox open all the time did manage to kill my speeds a little. :/
 
Well i turned it off and suddenly uploading takes less time. My internet is decent too, but it tends to turn off at most awkward moments
 
My internet is okay...just that the ISP needs to cooperate because I've been getting above average timeouts lately. It's stupid.
 
My internet's speed is about the same as ShadowExadrill's. Its okay for me I guess, sine I don't even upload videos or any big files.
 
My internet is as good as it gets really, because I get 25 down and 20 up with Verizon FiOS (it's not the highest tier but we pay low dollar for it), and it's almost always stable. The only problem with me using it is that since the router isn't located in my room I have to use wifi on all of my devices (including my desktop) which means that the ping amount can be rather high at times.
 
My internet is about as crappy as it gets. Since I live out in the country I have to get internet by satellite, so that means there is a limit to how much data we can spend each month. Think of a cell phone data package with no unlimited data option. Basically, we have to use the data the average person spends in a week, spread it across five people, and make it last the whole month. Our internet is extremely slow too. If we have a friend over and they want to check their facebook or something, they always whine and complain about how slow it is and tell us to get better internet.
 
I've got good connections right now, no wonder I tend to stick around a lot. There have been times my mother tried to completely remove it because my brother loves to make our lives hell.
 
I'm gonna pretend I'm from America and say yeaah Verizon sucks! Is anybody living somewhere getting Google Fibre soon?
 
What's Google Fiber? From what I can tell from the conversation, it's an internet provider. Sorry, I don't know a lot about better internet because I don't want to make myself feel even worse about my internet. :P
 
I think they've said they're thinking about bringing it to Canada :P More like thinking about thinking about, sadly.
 
I keep getting told about the google fiber thing from a friend -he likes to bring it up every so often - god, looking at those prices, that doesn't actually seem too bad for speeds like that. I kinda wish it was available here now! Assuming I could even get it if it were, because apartment.

My in-laws have....or had, not sure by now, FiOS. homg. When I first encountered it at their house, I freaking drooled over the speeds. So much better than what I was using at the time.

Suddenly reminded of the Comcast calling card I saw taped to the outside doors of the complex here one time - and someone had scribbled on it, saying something like "Comcast sucks go Verizon!"

Yeah.
 
The hilarious thing is the speed of that Google Fibre thing that is a real thing right now, compared to the speeds Australia's now-Prime Minister promised in 4 years.
I think he said we'll be getting 3Mb/sec in 2016.
Oh Abbott you crack me up.
