I usually wake up in the middle of sleep when my parents turn on lights in the house when they prepare to go to work early in the morning. Other than that, I typically tend to sleep well.

If you walk into my room saying my name, Jesse, then I'll wake up eventually. Or if a phone rings, it wakes me up. But when it storms severely I can sleep through it. I don't get my sleep. I'm just glad I don't snore. Oh I'm not a big fan of it lol my parents snore though.

I don't have insomnia, but I don't sleep all that well either. Waking up several times in the night is the pits, especially when it's only an hour or so before I have to actually get up.
I have that same problem in regards to sleeping.

It sucks when all I want is a good night's sleep, and yet I always end up waking up feeling tired in the morning because hey guess what, I kept waking up during the night for no reason. :( Grrr.

(Although I wonder if part of my problem is breathing-related; I have snored myself awake a few times before...)

Gaiz, I got Cadet of the Month in ROTC. I'm so ecstatic that my instructor picked me out of every other sophomore in our battalion! :D

All this talk of insomnia reminds me of my level 83 flawless Noctowl I caught in my SoulSilver. Her nickname was Insomniac. :/

Last weekend I didn't sleep from Wednesday night to Monday night. Four and a half days I really don't remember much of.

The reason behind it was I got to spend those days with my mother, and she allows me to be on my computer while my dad has confinscated every electronic I own besides my old-ass iPod and my DSi. Spent every second either eating, programming, or on PC. :)

Me too. Also, I need my sleep at a designated time every day. If I slept every day for 8 hours but it was 3AM to 11AM, I'm just as tired as if I slept 5 or 6 hours at a regular time.

My sleeping pattern is very erratic. Sometimes I can wake up fine after 6 hours of sleep, other times I feel I need more than 12.

Whooo, 4 hours of sleep on average! Side effect of PC.

What's PC? I'm inclined to think it's computer, but I've seen "PC" thrown here to mean Pokecommunity.

The only time I ever have to stay up late is if there's a program I want to watch on Toonami that's around 10 PM. Other than that, I go to sleep at 10 PM.

Well guys, it's been a rough 4 months, but I've finally finished Fall semester, so I'm now on vacation.

I'm normally asleep at around 11-11:30, sometimes later.

Yay Pinkie! I have one more class tomorrow but it's a short class. I'll just show up and go. xD Exams, however, I am DONE.

Usually I don't have any trouble sleeping, but lately I've been getting only 6 - 7 hours, because PC keeps me at my computer till about 1:00 AM, haha.

I need my nine or ten hours of sleep back!

We're still sleeping away on the topic huh? Does anyone remember their dreams when they wake up? I've heard from most people that they haven't the slightest clue what they dreamt. I remember every details for mine.

^ That is very true. But once you make a conscious effort to remember it, it'll stay with you forever. Is that true however? A memory is recompiled every time you try to remember it - so how can you be sure of what you remembered?

I've never really studied dreaming and memories in detail, though what I said in that post was what I was taught. But you're right, human memory is very flawed.

I always remember my dreams from the get go when I wake up. I have to think about little details here & there to get that whole story, but the plot and the last/recent event of the dream is very clear to me. I usually continue daydreaming about it or wait till I go to bed again later that night to continue the dream. The human brain works in mysterious ways.
