Is there anything that really makes you realize how old you've become/how much time has passed since childhood, or what are those things?

I'm 16 so clearly I shouldn't be feeling old yet.

    Yet.

I'll be 23 in a couple of weeks, and I feel like so much has gone by way too fast. So yeah you could say I definitely feel old because I literally grew up in the internet age and so much has advanced in just a few years.

The fact that I've been a legal adult for 4 full years now, and there are people who have started and finished high school in that time frame.

Also the fact that there are people born in 2000 and later who are on the Internet is still something I'm getting used to lol.

People younger than I am claiming they're old.

This! Hahahha. Here I am, feeling fresh and as young as ever, and people who have hardly even passed 20 complain about their age. Like wuuuut. Stahp.

Even just recently I had a moment where I realized that some years I still feel like were "almost just like yesterday" are actually years that were in the last damn decade. As in, almost a decade ago or so. Wha. But. But how.
    Where did the time go?

And yeah, every time someone younger than me complains about how old they are, I'm always just like "what". Whaaaat.

I used to have things I wanted when either Christmas or my birthday comes up. Now I really have no idea what I want if I get asked.

Whenever the celebration for a game or movie comes up and it's the 10th or 15th anniversary and I remember watching/playing it for weeks as if it were just the other day it just clicks in my mind and I'm just sitting there like 'Shit. I'm fuckin old.'

The other day was the PC anniversary on this account (although I've been here about a year longer) and I realized... as of this year? I've officially been a member of PC for more than half my life. Literally half of my life has gone by with this one specific Pokémon forum having an influence on it almost every single day. (I don't visit every day anymore but rarely a day goes by when I don't interact with someone from it in some way, be it on twitter, text, whatever.)

I guess it's probably not a big deal to younger people because I guess you could have signed up at age 8 or something and then hit the halfway mark at just 16 but I signed up at age 13 so it feels like a huge deal to me. I've thought about it a lot in the last week, lol.
