Deep-fried foods! Yummy potato fries, chicken wings, and even ice cream and pickles! Do you like deep-fried foods? Hate them with a passion? What sorts of things are your favourite in a deep fryer, or what sound off-kilter?

I really like chopped potatoes with a bit of salt. They're really good, but I'll pass if it's from a restaurant. Those things are a no-go. Other than that I can't think of much else I like in one of those things.

Ah.. I have to tell you Alex, soul food? Southern coking in general? They're all my absolute favourite dishes, haha. And yeah, quite a variety of soul food cooking in general has some deep-fried food, like, fried chicken, or even fried fish, as well as hushpuppies and sweet potato fries, aaah.

Well, truth be told, I haven't sat down to enjoy southern cooking in a long while, let alone deep-fried stuff, which that being said, they're all great to eat, but of course in moderation, haha. I personally prefer home-cooked deep fried foods myself, which I dunno, there's something more.. comforting eating foods like that that are made from your own two hands, or even from parents. o/

You know, I don't think I've had anything deep fried before. I think I've heard snickers like that though. Anyway, all of it sounds delicious, but we don't have a deep fryer. TT_TT

It really just depends on what it is. I like some stuff when it's deep fried, and others I could live without any kind of frying...

French fries, though. Give me all of the French fries. Ever.

I love fried food but I hate eating animal fat. I rip it out and just keep the meat.

chopped potatoes? you mean fries/chips right

I like oliebollen ("dutch doughnuts") and most deep fried pastries

deep fried meat makes me sick just looking at it

I usually stay away from deep fried foods, since they can be really bad for you!
Sometimes I will indulge, though. Deep fried potatoes can be great if they aren't too oily.

I will say, if you're going to eat Deep Fried Butter, it would probably be a lot faster to just step in front of a moving bus. -u-

I love everything deep fried. Thank god I almost never have the opportunity to get any, or I'd be physically messed up.

Except maybe this. I'd stay well away from this.

I can imagine the slogans already. "Get your deep fried butter! A whole lifetime's worth of fat in one bite! Comes with complementary type 2 diabetes!"

I went to a fair this summer and they had a deep fry stand and I got to try deep fried cheesecake, reese's, and oreos. I recommend each to all.

For favorites I love fried ice cream, churros, onion rings, chicken tenders, and any fried seafood.

Reading the title just made this heartburn worse :( To answer the question, I do, but only as a rare treat. I used to have it often, and felt disgusting. I eat healthier nowadays, so naturally my diet has almost no deep fried foods.

    Good lord no.

That would make me horribly sick and I would regret it. Also, the taste isn't even that satisfying.

Want something good and have $20 to spare? Get some salmon, oil/water, fresh garlic, possibly a few other spices and italian dressing. Cut the garlic up and let the taste sink in with oil or water, and mix it in with the italian dressing (any kind will do really) along with the other spices. Fry that salmon up with the spiced up sauce, and cook it in the sauce (make sure not to burn the fish onto the pan). Serve, much better than anything deep fried is and far healthier too.

P.S. everything but the salmon should have leftover material left so you can make more fun tasty stuff.

I love French fries. Even though they're generally unhealthy, I can't help but like them because of their taste. Truffle fries are especially good.
