    i work alone. that's just how it works. i am more than capable of working with a group, either acting as a leader or as an active component in the overall progress of the project, but i prefer going solo if possible. i have all the control. everything that proves successful is the result of my work, and likewise for anything that goes wrong. i have all the opportunities in the world to synthesize my mistakes and build from the ground up with them as a reference. nobody can take that from me.

    what kind of worker are you like? are you one to take the reigns and guide yourself through a particular project? or would you prefer to have minds to bounce your ideas off of? two heads is NOT necessarily better than one, so don't even throw that cliche in any of your responses. sometimes involving more people muddles up any potential conceptualization and adds so much red tape that the process ends up something totally askew to what was originally intended.

    I ride solo like Jason Derulo. I work so badly when around others. I feel pressured to consult each one and take everybody's opinion into consideration on whatever we are working on. When I am working alone I only have to consult ME and that is so much easier. While more ideas can come from a group....yeah I want to work alone haha

    Oddly enough I don't feel this way when modding. I'd much rather have a few mod partners.

    it might have to do with the difference between the medium in which you work on a project? you can think about what you post and create online as opposed to how quick natured doing things in reality in a work/school setting can be
     
    I'm like, a soft emo punk, ya feel? I can work solo and do just fine on my own because I don't necessarily need other people to get a job done (although that could change depending on what it is of course).

    Buuut, I'm pretty aight working with others too, because having other people to stimulate discussion can help bring out ideas and cultivate a plan, but at the same time you're also more likely to rely on your other team members which might snip some of your potential in output. *shrugs*
     
    I mostly work alone. I find that sometimes if I have to collaborate I lose patience because people aren't as passionate about something as me, or we have very different ideas on how to do things, so it's not uncommon to come to blows. But I do enjoy working with people of like mindsets and goals, so I welcome collaboration at those times.
     
    To be honest, I like both - but of course it depends whatever it is I'm doing.
    If it's a collaborative thing, it also depends on who the people are. Most of the time I can work great with just about anyone, but then once in while I will get a complete asshole. If it's people I don't even know, I'm excited to see what they're like and how I can work with them and to actually see what it's like to work with them.

    I also like working by myself as an individual. You give yourself your own deadlines and you have more control over what you want to accomplish.

    Honestly I swing both ways.
     
    Unless I absolutely must, I choose to work by myself.

    If I'm given the choice of group work versus taking on the project alone, I'd prefer the latter simply so I don't have to deal with discrepancies in ideas and opinions. Though outside of school, it's hard to avoid working with co-workers and colleagues. In that case, I can work well with others.
     
    If everyone has an awesome work ethic then it's cool to work in a group. You can get more done and it's good to hear other ideas. If I'm stuck in a group where I have to carry most of the weight I would rather have just done it by myself to begin with. In a group I typically sit back first and see what everyone has to say. If I can improve upon it I do, otherwise I'm more than happy to do what I'm given. I would prefer not to lead if someone else seems capable and willing
     
    I used to be a lone worker when I was in school. But I grew up, I now crave the teamwork. Thanks to my current job, I learned that teamwork is the key to victory. I always liked working alone, but now it's kinda different now. I like working with people now, as long as the people are tolerant enough. lol.
     
    I work better alone. On the other hand, I'm not that good at working in a group. That's mainly because I'm really bad at speaking up for myself or I'm too timid to ever give any input, something I'm getting better at via my current job, but I've still got a long way to go.

    I do think that two heads are better than one, and so it's worthwhile to learn to work with others if you can.
     
    I always liked to work by myself in high school since when the teacher paired us up in groups, they would always place me with the kids who didn't care about their grades. I don't know if it was on purpose or accident, but whatever their plan was, I always ended up doing most (if not, all) of the work. I would tell the teacher that I was the only one who did anything, and if we were missing some components, it was because my partner(s) didn't complete whatever tasks I dealt out to them.

    Now that I'm working in the real world with people who actually care about what they do, group work is great. Other people can offer up ideas, pick up some extra stuff to make whatever we're doing the best it can be, and it's a much better overall experience than high school.
     
    I've always worked better alone. Working alone means that I know what needs to be done, who's doing it, and when it will be done. There's no question about the quality of the work, or question of if it's going to get done or not.

    The few times that I've worked with others, I always ended up doing the work. Even now at my job, I do the bulk of the work simply because I actually work, so I get everything done fast.

    (Boy George and his band, Culture Club, was one of my favorite bands when I was growing up.)
     
    I'll work in groups, if I can pick the group. Otherwise I'm going solo yo.
     
    I have a weakness and that is totally incapable of functioning in a group due to anti-social issues that I've suffered for around four years now. It was my inability to function in groups that caused me to give up my last job because lots of the work there was group-based.

    Well I personally have that problem, but not as extreme as yours haha
     
    working well with others is perhaps the most phenomenal skill one should learn

    i guess i'm a pretty good group worker? somehow i always get voted as a group leader because i'm usually the first one to push everyone to say what's on their mind. but really, i can work better alone. working with a group just brings SO much potential problems
