Dachshunds are useless animals. My boyfriend's parents have two(one short hair, one long hair), and they're just... really, really stupid + annoying.

Shih tzus are pretty cute, though.

Pugs are better. Especially pugs named Walter. My pug <3
 
Look, if the cat falls down the stairs, everyone laughs at it. If the dog falls down the stairs, everyone runs over to see if its okay. Cats take care of themselves and everyone knows it.

You can teach a dog how to open a door, but a cat'll figure it out himself, and that's pretty choice.
 
i'm more of a french bulldog kind of person, esp when they're puppies omg.

i'm sure you guys have seen this debate but what color is this dress? i've already read the scientific reasoning behind it but i can fathom seeing black and blue.

I was looking at old pictures of Daschunds and they used to be a beautiful breed. But apparently recently short and stubby was the in thing so now they're all useless >_>

Every time I hear about golden retrievers I always think of Ol' Early from the last episode of Firefly. What with River reading through all of his thoughts and playing mind games with his childhood and the ship's loudspeaker...

If I ever were to get a dog, a Great Pyrenees would be one of my choices. Although I'm not entirely sure if I'd be up to taking care of a dog that size, hmm.

@ the German Shepherd comment....suddenly think of the shepherd mix over at the other house near here (German with a bit of Aussie), and she's all bark and no bite. Probably couldn't scare other dogs even if she tried. Rile them up maybe, but not scare them!
 
Because things with hair are cuter. Except for, like, snails.

I don't think I could own a sphinx cat. I prefer long-haired cats myself. Like my amazing norwegian forest cat-ragdoll mix.

Unfortunately I don't know if I could handle the feeding of snakes so they're not a pet option for me. :( But I would so take one otherwise. I've had people seem surprised that I don't suddenly freak out upon realizing there's a snake around.

Actually, if I went for any kind of reptile, it might have to be a bearded dragon. Those are cool.
