What is an exotic pet you wish you had?

I'd love a pet tiger. Tigers are rad. Too bad you're not supposed to domesticate them.

I've always imagined a pet giraffe would be pretty cool. Probably too expensive to feed though

If it were morally correct and appropriate for the animal, and the animal could comfortably be domesticated without any consequences to them or others, a serval! Such pretty creatures. <3

A fox. We have a litter of kits that live in the woods in our backyard. I've told my husband many times I'm going to start feeding them twinkies until they get so fat that they can't run away from me.

An otter! The asian small claw can be legally owned in some states in the US but it's a bit of a pain to own one in the states because of exotic pet laws. They're popular pets in Asia too but I'm not sure what the restrictions there are. Either way, they've been my favorite animal since I was little and I'd love to have one.

i used to think having a small monkey would be really cool, but now that i'm a wise adult(tm), i can safely say that.......would be a terrible idea.
i gotta say, if i were able to domesticate it from an early age, having a tiger would be pretty cool. terrifying, but cool.

I'm not great at pets in general but there's probably a lot of birds that I'd like to have if not for the having to look after them part.

Oh too many. I would love a tiger or a hippo, if the risk of being eaten alive didn't exist. A bat would also be one of my choices, except they really are not meant for domestication.

I'm saving up money for an Alaskan husky I'll name Tristan. Black & white markings, longer fur, and blue eyes.

Maybe that's not exotic to you! When I'm a lot older, settled down with children on their way, I'm going to buy a white-faced scops owl I'll name Alexander, and I'll hope he outlives me.
