Night One
Astounding.
Zami watched as the overwhelming majority of the people gathered decided to burn gio7sm. Such a consensus was unusual so early on. And Omicron had presented his case well . . . enough.
gio yelled about it being a bad idea to kill him, but it was nothing Zami hadn't heard before. She was getting sick of such defenses, honestly, so it really only made her more inclined to burn him.
So she did.
At least, she planned to, before that annoying Ambassador stepped in front of her.
"gio7sm, you've been found guilty of being a daemon by the judgment of your peers, and for that you will burn."
She snapped her fingers and her soldiers grabbed gio7sm, constraining his wrists with rope and gagging him with cloth as he was dragged to the pyre. Gunner conjured a ball of flames, igniting the wood in a shower of sparks. Green and black intermingled as the Lilin was reduced to ashes.
As Gunner turned to walk out of the crowd, she locked eyes with Zami, whose gaze threatened to burn holes through the Ambassador.
Once she had gone, Zami dispersed the crowd. She took note of how silent Ash and Bacteriophage had been, having not even cast a vote.
Lilith gave a light grunt. She hadn't known that the pile of ashes before her had been one of her underlings, but if he'd managed to get himself killed on their first day in this world, then she figured he couldn't have been of much use to her in the long run anyways. He wouldn't be missed.
