Get-Together 2025

PokéCommunity Get-Together 2025

The Lumiose City Urban Development Project is kicking off in an effort to revitalise Lumiose City, improving its habitability for wild Pokémon while also introducing new and exciting amenities for Kalos' battlers. Various donors are already throwing PokéDollars at the project, but there is only so much to go around and different people have different ideas about where that cash should be spent. As a result, a schism has developed between the day and night crews working on the project over what to prioritise.

The day crew of the Dawnrangers think that the focus should be on the new Wild Zones, but the Duskbrawler night crew think that new battle facilities should be the focus. With a situation brewing, what are Lumiose Management and Quasartico Inc. to do? A competition of course!

Each team will compete in a series of games with PokéDollars being awarded from the budget to the teams that participate the most actively and place the highest. What a novel solution!

What is This?

The Get-Together - or GT - is an event we hold annually here in the PokéCommunity. Everyone comes together across the forums and the PC Discord to participate in a variety of fun competitions and games, enjoying two weeks of hanging out with everyone and a little friendly competition. It's a great way to spend time with your PC friends, or even make new ones all while celebrating the amazing community we've built together.

Every GT is a little bit different, typically having its own unique theme and lore. This year, we're diving into the hype for the upcoming Legends: Z-A by having everyone participate in Lumiose City's new development, just like the game. As a participant, you'll be sorted into either the Wild Zone-focused Dawnrangers or the battle-minded Duskbrawlers and try to earn PokéDollars to further your teams goals.

This year, the Get-Together will be running from July 20 until the end of August 3.

Events and Event Organisers

While the general operations and behind-the-scenes work of running the GT are handled by our Events team, the GT is a huge undertaking made up on many different activities and games. As such, we can't do it alone. Each year, we also ask you guys to help out by coming up with and running different events. The people who volunteer for this job we call Event Organisers (EOs).

If you'd like to volunteer to be an EO, just comment below with the general idea of the event you would like to host for the Get-Together and who (if anyone) will be running it with you. The Events Team will then review all the submissions and approve them as quickly as we can. If your idea is approved, you'll then be given access to a special forum for the purpose of planning it all out.

Submissions for volunteers are open until .

EVENTS!!

- Flair & Sig Collab
- Minecraft Build Event
- Fancam-Making Thing
- Forumwide Post-a-thon
- Radio Nights (maybe idk im nervous ahaha)
- Pokémon Go Event (if apro isn't hosting / would like support)

Plans to run:
  • Mind Read the Room. Probably no format changes here.
  • PokeCommunity Battle Factory. Provides a starting selection of 10 rental Pokemon from the Battle Factory. Pick 3. Allows you to swap one out after every round for a Pokemon from a group of 5 choices. Follows Generation 3 mechanics. (Never actually played this mode in game. Hopefully winds up being similar enough, given the circumstances.)

Plans most of the same format as PokeCommunity Stadium 2: automatic battling versus NPCs on Pokemon Showdown, scoring (with some slight tweaks), and four rounds. No aces this time. Should make teambuilding much simpler, but hopefully not too restrictive. (Expanded the number of options for that reason.)

hi, i'll definitely help out with the gt challenge as usual <3
and maybe consider doing something else too but we'll see...

I was just thinking about GT yesterday. As always, I'll help with Challenge event.
Same here. You can count the whole Challenges Trio in for the GT Challenge event.

I also have suggestions for the GT's Archipelago, to make it more of a themed event, no matter who ends up hosting it.

Yaay it's GT time!

For this year, I'd be up for hosting:
- Egg Swap
- TCGP Tournament
- Pokémon Anime Night(s)

The latter I hope to launch and keep going weekly!
