The days in Sweden are getting shorter now. It's making me feel sad and less happy, I think ._. The nights are so long and so dark and cold, especially in December. We literallly have like 6 hours of light every day, no more. What usually pulls me through is the knowledge thay summer will come again, when we have nights lasting only a few hours in early June, and the sky will stay blue/orange throughout it. That's bliss.

Do dark/cold winters bother you? Or are you a night owl anyways, and in love with snow?

We don't get snow here, but I prefer winter. I like the night, so the shorter days during winter suit me. I also find the cold easier to deal with than the heat, and the rain we get during winter's kind of soothing when it isn't torrential.

Firstly, I approve of this title.

Anyway, I'm not really bothered by the dark but I absolutely hate the cold. Cold weather didn't used to bother me nearly as much but once I hit 18 it was like a switch and suddenly I just couldn't tolerate the slightest chill anymore lol.

Give me a pleasant, warm day over bitter cold any day.

Dark and cold winters don't bother me, in fact they make me happy. Cold weather is the only reason for me to exist, dealing with summer right now is so fucking annoying. The slightest of heat gets to me too easily.

I love the winters in my area. They days are a little shorter, the temperature gets cold, but never enough to snow, and we get rain. Supposedly rain falls from the sky all year round in other parts of the world (not that believe such nonsense), but here it does not fall from late spring until early autumn. When it finally arrives the dry, desert-like dust bowl conditions burst into color. The hills blossom with greenery. Best of all, I can finally wear long sleeves throughout the day. I love winter.

    ^ Could not resist.

I have trained my body to better withstand colder and hotter temperatures, so this increase in temperature resilience means I don't mind so much the winter. It does make cycling more dangerous but again I don't really mind.

Here in Australia the winters at the moment have been actually very warm. I don't enjoy shorter days though since I personally do like the summer better. Oh well, at least Spring (the season my birthday is in) is just around the corner.

Okay, the sleeve thing is a good point. Also I do love wearing beanies and scarves and soon it'll be cold enough for that again (8

What temperatures do you normally get in your winter? Celsius if possible o:

The lowest this week over on this side of the country was five and the highest nineteen. This is backwards, isn't your side meant to be the colder half? lol

I'm from Sydney, and I'm sure we have the milder temperatures. It's just that this winter has been very warm, particularly throughout most of this month.

Eh, sort of because I can't go out as much, but other than that not really.

Part of me enjoys the dark, cold, and silence of winter, but after awhile it definitely wears on me. Last winter I went to the gym just to get out and to do something active. I think that improved my mood a lot compared to other winters.

I'm a nightowl so darker times suit me. I'm often found awake in the early hours of the morning, sometimes go to bed at the time most people wake up!

I also prefer winter to summer.

Part of me enjoys the dark....
How can you enjoy dark if you don't mind asking?

As for the thread question, yes I do love falling rain, the cold and the ambient of winter (I never saw snow and I would love it but nothing like the sweet sound of rain drops).
I like summer because of holidays, not because of the sun or heat.

I like summer better than winter. Here in Tennessee it can get hot, but I find it hard to coop up indoors for a whole season. I'm an outdoors person. I know :P
Also the roads here are dangerous on sunny days, and even 10x more so in snow/ice. Scares me half to death when I have to drive somewhere!
It's for my sanity and my garden. xP
