Holiday Battle Free-for-All

Welcome fellow Pokémon battlers! Are you ready to show us your moves? Zeffy and I are here to host a standard free-for-all tournament available for PC's battle server (click) and in-game Wi-Fi. The goal is to win the tournament by winning battles.

― Signing up

Please fill out the following form and post it.

Leave either of them empty if you plan to only participate one way. Once you've posted, you may start battling anyone to earn points. The battle server will automatically log all points you've collected. You can check your point total via "/profile username" and the ladder via "/gtladder". Only theme challenges and Wi-Fi battles have to be logged in your sign-up post.

If you're a Wi-Fi battler, ask for battles in this thread or message those who signed up with 3DS FCs. Please use the following format for logging battles. (If you put only "theme" we will assume that it's for the battle server.)

Won vs Zeffy / Wi-Fi
Won vs Castform / theme
Lost vs Dragon / Wi-Fi / theme

― Point system

You earn the following points for each battle won.

Wi-Fi battle

50

Regular server battle (e.g. OU, Ubers, and UU)

40

Random server battle

15

1v1 battle

1

"Server" refers to PC's battle server.

― Theme challenges

Throughout the tournament we will post theme challenges. Anyone is welcome to make teams with these themes to gain extra points when winning battles. The point bonus stacks with each battle you win, and the themes will have varying amounts of point bonuses. These battles must be logged in your sign-up post or they'll be counted as regular battles. Theme challenges do not apply to 1v1 formats.

― Rules

• Don't abuse other players or the system for points (e.g. convincing players to forfeit). The server keeps logs of every battle.
• Don't ignore certain players if you aren't actually busy or away (e.g. battling other people while avoiding someone).
• Counterteaming will NOT be enforced, as it's too subjective. Be sure to prepare a lot of teams.

― Prizes

Top 1 winner will receive 60 BP and a trophy on the battle server (trophy lasts for 4 weeks). Top 2 will receive 50 BP and top 3 will receive 40 BP.

Emblems will probably be made. Check back later.
