How much do you care about shinies?

Shinies are a pretty important part of the main series games for a lot of people, especially since they're a bit easier to find in the modern day games. They have some awesome alternate color palettes - or, sometimes, there is barely any difference at all! But a shiny is a shiny. It gets a cool sparkle when you send it out to battle. :')

How much do you care about shinies? Will you go out to hunt for them?

I'll catch them and use them if I can, but my luck at encountering shinies has been abysmal and the only shinies I have right now are in a romhack with a boosted shiny rate.

Not too much. I'd love to run into them, but I don't bother to hunt them down either.

If it happens randomly I'll be happy, but if not I carry on.

I never really cared but I always told myself, "if I find a shiny Im chucking my master ball." My luck has usually been abysmal, however, I managed to find a shiny Tentacruel in both gold and its remake heart gold on the same route. About 5 years apart too. That takes loads of luck and is perhaps the only shiny I've ever truly cared about. Usually I use pkhex if I want a shiny as I find most shinies bland or disappointing.

I like the majority of Pokémon in their original color palettes. And the shinies I find in my adventures seem hard-coded to have absolute trash IVs and natures anyway, so... well, at least the natures are no longer an issue in PLA and SV.

If I'm interested in a certain Pokémon for my team and that Pokémon happens to be shiny (and I like the shiny colors) then I take it, but that has never happened so far. Otherwise if I randomly encounter a shiny I usually try to catch just because why not, but I have not used any shiny in my main team in the official games yet.

I don't care enough about them to devote hours upon hours of hunting shiny Pokémon, though I still appreciate them all the same.

I've had some decent luck in the past when it comes to finding random shinies in the wild, as well as a mixture of good and bad luck that one time I found a shiny Rattata in the Johto Safari Zone.

Unless one has a color scheme that I prefer over the original (and if I'm even aware of that) then I might want it, but otherwise I just treat shinies like something neat to run into and try my hardest to catch. I have never sought out a shiny aside from using that trick in X/Y to get shiny Relicanth. lol

i have grand total of 0 shinies i dont hunting for any not important to me at all

If i ever find 1 i will treat like any other Pokèmon i guess.

I don't care for shiny Pokémon as such. If I had already built the regular colored species, then either that shiny Pokémon is transferred, or not kept in the storage. Transferring them is prominent in Pokémon Go, and I don't hesitate doing it.

I've probably hunted far too many of them. Fortunately stuff like natures, IV's and EV's are inconsequential on a playthrough as I've used shiny Pokemon with 'bad' ones successfully plenty times.

One of my goals is to shiny hunt every Ice type, but that's been on the back burner for a good while now.... well at least I completed my goal of shiny breeding the entire eeveelution fam, I guess =P
