Stackin' papers, countin' my money, watchin' my debts slowly fade.
That and having too many hobbies and interests and a hell of a lot going on at my workplace that pretty much keeps me busy non-stop.
Also having a fairly high tolerance for stress helps. And I'm in a better place than I was 2 years ago, both financially and healthwise, as well as having 2 more years of working that I can show to any prospective employers.
Just gotta keep working (to show prospective employers that, yes, you can handle a job and keep it for a long time while also showing some ambition) and focusing on a goal. I've got major long term goals and minor goals.
Major:
have $10,000 put away in savings
pay off my student loans early
pay off my car a bit early
have my own apartment I can afford on my own
earn a major raise or two at work
Minor:
Pay off each of my credit cards and save $2000 by August.
Buy a new bed
Buy a new computer desk
buy a new office chair
