Chit-Chat: In the midnight hour, she cries because she's sad and alone and just a little pathetic.

I narrowly missed hitting one while I was out on a road trip once. Since then I've kinda developed a fear where I'm constantly afraid that I'm going to hit one while I'm driving at night D:

That brought an interesting correlation, and allowed me to extrapolate the relationship between the us and the deer, and the aliens and us. What if they're not out to get us? What if they have just as much a personality and an obligation to morals as we do, but on a far more complex level than we can understand?

Khilia brought some nice Germanic critical thinking to me over Skype the other day, suggesting that maybe they're on a journey to understand themselves better, through us. In a way I can see that maybe we are here as a spawn of them, and they came to study us as we develop out of our infancy to better understand how they came into being. That's a very intelligent way of executing self-analysis, no?

That reminds me of a Star Trek TNG episode called Justice, where there was a planet with some aliens orbiting it. They called the aliens "god", but really it was just a higher species that originally put their species on the planet and observed their development. But they weren't interested in self-analysis, so much as they were interested in zapping anyone who interfered with their "children below" :P

I do think that our existence is a group effort between the four species who hang around here. They aren't invisble or in a different plane or anything (as far as I can tell), and there is evidence of them here if you look around.

All four of them banded together and created us out of the apes, in order to study us from our very beginnings for a purpose that isn't certain. What else would they want to have us for if not self-bettering through external study of surrogates (us)?

I've never hit any living things while on the road thank gosh. I have seen them crossing before, but I do slow down, despite it causing a disruption of traffic flow. Thank gosh it hasn't happened on a local highway in the area yet where an animal is crossing.

I've hit a deer before. I think I just broke two of its legs, so it was trying to walk off the street. It was doing okay, until the car after me hit it and knocked it on the other side of the road. It was pretty much dead at that point, but it was hit by another car, and the car after that one, and the car after that one, and the car after that one.

My dad was in the car with me, so at this point he just dragged the pile of flesh off the road. As we were driving off though, a couple of people had backed up and were now arguing over the dead carcass.

D: The poor deer! That sounds like a terrible experience and thankfully I haven't had any encounters with animals on the road. My friend had an incident with one though; his car was more damaged than the deer at least.

I don't see the logic in holding sympathy in a tragic act of natural selection, mostly because it leads to irrational thinking that only serves as a further detriment for the very thing they were trying to prevent.

I'm grateful to have never hit a deer while driving, but I have come close! Those guys love to just stand in the middle of the road 'w';
It's incredibly terrifying.
Can't they see it's just a bad idea for all parties involved?!?!?

Two deers once hit our bus when we were going to school really early in the morning (ergo pretty much in the night)
It was unnoticeable if you would've ignored these two "thunk" noises that suddenly came up out of nowhere

My mother told me about when she took my sister to a turkey farm, and for some reason all the turkeys were angry as hell, like "Gobble gobble ♥♥♥♥ you get out get out get out I don't want to deal with this ♥♥♥♥" kind of angry.

Speaking of animals, my cat Puffers is due to be dying about anytime now, so I've been reading up on the Egyptian Book of the Dead so he can be granted an akh to exist in the Tuat peacefully. :)

Ah. My sympathies. The loss of a pet can be incredibly rough.
I remember when we had to put our dalmatian (aptly named Spot) down. I was probably in fifth grade, and I just remember sobbing. Womp.

That is one of the coolest things I've ever seen. And I wouldn't rule out it actually being a transformer because...just look at it :o

That reminds me of those rehabilitation monster trucks from Idiocracy, eh what were their names… ah, they're far too inappropriate for this forum. ^^';

One of them was so big it broke the entrance, which was funny because the announcer said "we seem to be… experimenting some techmological differences…" I lmao'd :D
