Definitely! I've been spending a lot more time with my cat lately, the cold weather means we aren't letting her out daily like we would in the warmer seasons. It means she's been more demanding and vocal, especially when I come see her, but she's such a cutie that I don't really mind at all. It's the best when I get a treat for her and she starts meowing a bunch as I'm opening the package because she knows exactly what's in there, and then is probably gonna demand more later on.

Look, all I'm gonna say is... one is my precious cutie sweetie angel who loves to say hello to me every morning when I enter the kitchen (and now lets me pick her up and kiss her several times!) and one is a rat who barks because we aren't looking at her and gets into the garbage when we're not looking and scratches on the bedroom door every morning forcing me to get out of bed to pick her up because she knows she can jump up onto the bed but demands that my bf who's asleep at the time picks her up...

Although I usually relate the AI bots with the games which we play on devices. Just like AI bots can't replace the humans, in similar ways those games can't replace the real-world sports and board games which we play. The limitations which we face while playing the sports is vaguely/loosely same as the limitations for which AI bots were made. Both of them are virtual source of satisfaction, and they are intended to be like that only, nothing much nothing less. Social interaction is base, be it talking with real people, or playing the sports. Considering e-games as a way to interact is quite dubious logic, I suppose.

And in both cases, having pet(s) is beneficial in one way or another.

I feel like we're already on a point where people realize that AI won't ever do what they hoped it would do. And corporations mostly buy into the sunk cost fallacy at this point. "We promise there will be a product in the future. We just need to fill it with even more data!"
