In almost all Pokémon games, we have been able to get ourselves a bicycle, and by doing so, we were able to travel through locations much, much faster than normal.

What are our thoughts on this feature--although access to it does make things more nifty for us, do any of us still feel that more mechanism could be added to improve our biking experience? If so, how do we think these new mechanics would work?

In real world, bikes are one of the more common things we use for transportation, so I could see why they're still having us use bicycles in the games--it'd make things slightly more easy when it comes to relating, haha. One thing I wouldn't mind seeing, though, is us being granted the ability to freely shift gears to lower or raise our speed.

I don't really use the bikes that much, unless I'm in a major hurry to get to a specific location. Perhaps because I'm too lazy to always hit the shortcut button for the bike. For X/Y, I never used the circle pad, so I never really used the roller skates.

What I did like about the bike was needing to use it to reach a particular spot or treasure. This was good in D/P/Pt, but I wasn't much of a fan of it in R/S/E/OR/AS because some of those could be tricky. I also didn't like having to go back to Mauville to get the different bikes in order to either go fast or do some jumps. Which is why I liked it in D/P/Pt, since it was just one bike for whatever I needed to do.

I always enjoyed the bicycle. It's one of my fave features of the Pokemon games, since it's fast and great for hatching eggs. I was not a fan of Hoenn's Mach + Acro Bikes and I liked how Sinnoh handled it, combining both into one. Kinda sad that Unova and Kalos variants are just stuck to one speed but what can you do.

Bikes are great way to travel in-game lot faster than walking or running, it saves time and trouble also unexpectedly encounter wild pokemon more than just running in circles. I do enjoy Gen3 bikes they give us option to jump or speed boost. While XY introduced, Skating is the new biking with styles and fun way to run.

I'm not a fan of the bike. I think it's pretty boring.

Pokemon are used for everything in the games.
Need a boat? Hop on a Pokemon. Want to fly somewhere? Hop on a Pokémon.

But basic transportation? Nope, have an old boring bike. It would be way cooler and more relevant if you could ride on your Pokémon instead to go faster.

Bikes are so great way to travel across regions fastly, and it also useful way to hatch egg too. But, it is become a bit boring because we are using biker over by years that makes it so boring, we need a new transportation method like Skateboarding or Submarine(To Travel Underwater)?

I love the bikes in games, with the Mach Bike from RSE and Gen IV's bikes as my favorite.

They make traveling easier as well as hatching eggs.~

It's a good feature, and I like that there are certain locations you can only get to by biking. It makes moving around so much easier, very convenient. It's just annoying that you can't really toggle the speed.

Bikes are my life in Pokemon games. Once I get a bike, I'm always on the bike and you cannot get me off that bike. I like speed and getting places very fast, so it's convenience isn't lost on me.

I'd much rather prefer one single bike than having two separate bikes that do two separate things. I understand that it's meant to add challenge to the game, which is good for those that like a challenge, but not-so-good for little lazy ole me. Most of the Acro spots I never visited because of it.

Bikes are fun and all, but I much prefer the running shoes as they're so much easier to access. I'll probably use the bicycle when hatching eggs or training up Pokemon, but for the general gameplay I'll just run (or skate).

I still like that we've had the bike for all this time, but I do wish that they would make them different. Hoenn and Sinnoh had bikes that either allowed you to do jumps or go really fast, so maybe future games could expand on bike capabilities. Or we might get other cool means of transportation.
