  • I know that the standard Bisharp is (look below) but would it be worth it to put Stealth Rock on it or maybe X- Scissors or just something. I understand the whole STAB thing but it seems that the way its set up makes it very limited.

    Bisharp @ Life Orb
    Ability: Defiant
    EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
    Adamant / Jolly Nature
    - Sucker Punch
    - Iron Head
    - Knock Off/Low Kick
    - Protect

Also is Bisharp a better choice than Weavile in general? I am still fine tuning what works.
Bisharp is an excellent option for screwing over Intimidate abusers. Stealth Rock isn't that useful in doubles formats, as people rarely even switch, plus there's the fast pace to consider. X-Scissor doesn't hit anything noteworthy that Bisharp's STABs can't. Bisharp's STABs are rather valuable: Sucker Punch provides priority, Knock Off cripples item-dependent Pokemon that aren't Mega Evolutions, and Iron Head lets Bisharp smack Fairies hard.

With Defiant. If it has been Intimidate. Does its attack leveling go from -1 to +1 or +2 ignoring Intimidate?

Defiant doesn't make Bisharp immune to Intimidate. It only triggers when any of Bisharp's stats are lowered, including Attack. If Bisharp is hit by Intimidate, it will have -1 Attack, then Defiant activates, with the +2 boost making Bisharp's Attack +1.

  • Breeding

I have this Togepi I am breeding. Its IV are 0 in the Atk Stat. How do I keep breeding that 0 until I get 31s in the rest of them?

The Greninja set you're currently using is better suited for the Uber tier. Greninja itself is an Uber, so it can't be used in OU teams. A better hazard lead is Scolipede, as it can make itself faster with Speed Boost, and has Endeavor to severely weaken opponents once its Focus Sash is used up:
    -Pin Missile
    -Spikes
    -Toxic Spikes
    -Endeavor
    Nature: Jolly
    EVs: 252 Atk/4 Def/252 Spe
    Item: Focus Sash
    Ability: Speed Boost

This team needs Rapid Spin support, as Dragonite is weak to Stealth Rock, which would render Multiscale useless. Excadrill and Starmie are examples of this. Sure, you can use Espeon, but the other two are much better at hazard-clearing duties, as both have better movepools:

    Excadrill:
    -Earthquake
    -Iron Head
    -Rock Slide
    -Rapid Spin
    Nature: Jolly
    EVs: 252 Atk/4 Def/252 Spe
    Item: Choice Scarf
    Ability: Mold Breaker

    or
    -Earthquake
    -Iron Head
    -Rapid Spin
    -Toxic/Stealth Rock
    Nature: Careful
    EVs: 252 HP/4 Atk/252 SDef
    Item: Leftovers
    Ability: Mold Breaker

    Starmie:
    -Scald
    -Psyshock/Reflect Type
    -Rapid Spin
    -Recover
    Nature: Timid
    EVs: 248 HP/8 Def/252 Spe
    Item: Leftovers
    Ability: Natural Cure

    or
    -Hydro Pump
    -Psyshock/Thunderbolt
    -Ice Beam/Hidden Power (Fire)
    -Rapid Spin
    Nature: Timid
    EVs: 252 SAtk/4 SDef/252 Spe
    Item: Life Orb
    Ability: Natural Cure/Analytic

  • Are there any viable mixed attacker Hydreigon?

The only viable physical moves worth running on Hydreigon are Superpower and Iron Tail:
    -Dark Pulse
    -Draco Meteor
    -Fire Blast/Superpower
    -Roost/Iron Tail
    Nature: Timid/Naive
    EVs: 252 SAtk/4 SDef/252 Spe
    Item: Life Orb

    or
    -Dark Pulse
    -Draco Meteor
    -Flash Cannon
    -Superpower/Earth Power
    Nature: Mild/Modest
    EVs: 4 Atk/252 SAtk/252 Spe
    Item: Life Orb

Does the user of Foul Play being burned affect its damage or no?

  • Unable to battle other party's pokemon.

Didn't exactly know where this would go but technically it has to do with battling. What are the conditions in which when you challenge/are challenged to a battle and it says " You cannot battle against the other party's Pokemon."? Some people when I battle them have this message pop up after I select the box with the pokemon I would use.

  • It didn't say they were in the different region and we were both on ORAS. The message appeared after it said to select your team order and after the screen went black, it came back saying connecting to other player, and then the message appeared.

After a quick Google search, two results show that your opponent has a hacked 'mon on their team. :/

  • Can Salamence be viable without mega evolving? Maybe with Moxie?
In OU singles, there's little reason to use regular Salamance, as it's outclassed by other Dragons like Mega Altaria, Charizard X, and Dragonite at Dragon Dancing.

Non-Mega Salamence in doubles formats is better off as specially-based, since Intimidate has a tendency of weakening physical variants. You're better off using Hydreigon as a specially-based Dragon, as its Special Attack is better, even though Salamence itself also has Intimidate to set itself apart. Mega Salamence is better than regular Salamence, IMO, since Aerilated attacks hurt a lot.

If you're going to run Mence in OU, use a set no other dragon/pokemon can do i.e

    Salamence@Leftovers
    248 hp / 224 Def or Sp.Def / 36 Speed
    Impish / Careful / Bold / Calm / Relaxed / Sassy Nature
    Trait: Intimidate
    - Roost
    - Dragon Tail / Dragonbreath
    - Wish / Toxic / Fire Blast / Defog / Hydro Pump / Roar
    - Wish / Toxic / Fire Blast / Defog / Hydro Pump / Roar

If you use a -speed nature be sure to put the speed evs in the opposite defensive stat.

    Espeon moveset

So I have a shiny HA Espeon I use for battling. wanted to start competitively battling soon, so what moveset do I give my Espeon? It currently has:

    Espeon: Modest Nature.
    Item: Life Orb
Psychic: STAB and base power of 90
Shadow Ball: Good base power at 80 and helps with Steel types.
Dazzling Gleam: Hits multiple targets for double battles, and base power of 90. Also deals with Dragonite and such.
Calm Mind: Makes it very specially defensive, and makes it's Special Attack insane with Life Orb.
Any feedback would be much appreciated. Thanks!

  • Espeon can learn Baton Pass (only as Eevee) to give its Calm Mind boosts to a teammate when it's in an unfavorable matchup. Psyshock is also preferred over Psychic so Espeon isn't walled by Blissey:
    -Calm Mind/Substitute
    -Psyshock
    -Shadow Ball/Dazzling Gleam
    -Baton Pass
    Nature: Timid
    EVs: 4 Def/252 SAtk/252 Spe
    Item: Leftovers
    Ability: Magic Bounce

Timid is also the preferred nature so Espeon outspeeds as much opponents as possible.

I was talking about an in-game Espeon, so Timid and Baton Pass are out of the question. And I'll keep Psyshock in mind, thanks!

  • Hi! Just wondering if this combination will work against battle maison:

    Name: Gengar
    Ability: Levitate
    Item: Gengarite
    Nature: Hardy
    EV: 252 SAtk / 252 Spd / 4HP
    Moveset:
    - Will-o-wisp
    -Protect
    -Shadow Ball
    -Sludge Bomb

    Name: Togekiss
    Ability: Super Lucky
Item: Sitrus Berry / Heal Bell
    Nature: Calm
    EV: 252 HP / 200 Def / 56 Spd
    Moveset:
    - Air Slash
    - Thunderbolt / Tailwind
    - Follow Me
    - Roost

What can be the weakness of this combo? Or this is not good as an all-around team? Thanks!
