do you ever find yourself needing them? i've bought a couple the past few years but they'd usually just collect dust because i pretty much always charge my phone fully before going out. i've also taken care of my phone through the years to not get overcharged or anything, so it still lasts the whole day thankfully.

    how about y'all?

I have one and it's been a life saver. Due to college and work I often have - or rather had, before you know, the world ended - to stay 15-16 hours away from home, and have 4-5 hour commutes (counting both trips), which means that between memes, chatting, videos and whatever else I'm doing to pass the time, my battery usually starts to flag somewhere along the way.

That said, I had to invest a bit to get this one that's worth its price - all the cheap ones I bought lasted very little time before just giving up.

I went through sooooo many that just didn't hold a charge after a while. My Anker ones are a few years old now, have been over the Atlantic on multiple occasions, and still work like new!

They weren't ridiculously priced either. I will probably replace them with new ones that support PPS long before they give up.

I've had several in the past - mostly ones I found in the booths at my old fast food workplace that just never got reclaimed. When I played Pokemon Go I would take two or three backups with me just to be sure I could get through the whole day without having to stop. But now I don't really need them. If my phone dies at work, it's because I was too lazy to plug it in on my break or used it too much throughout my shift so to get my work done it should be dead anyways.

tell me, is this anker? it's the only brand of powerbank i keep hearing about that people say is actually good quality. i've had my fair share of trying out those cheap ones that literally drain my battery instead of charge it, so i've always been a bit brand conscious when it comes to this.

No, actually. It's a Samsung power bank - I bought it an on official Samsung store and everything but I'm not sure if it's an option in other countries.

huh didn't know samsung sold powerbanks even. haven't found any being sold here, and it's not like they aren't a big presence in my country either. quite odd.

I only ever use them while traveling. I did get a very nice one that's rather large from my job for teacher appreciation day a few years ago, haven't used it yet lmao.

I haven't had a real need for powerbanks, but sometimes at work i just use my phone more than other days and the battery life cant handle it (even though i have it on adaptive power saving, which sometimes it feels it doesnt extend the battery life but like 30 minutes at most), on those days of extra phone it does help and i tend to keep one in my room (even though i got outlets in my room, but its a bigger powerbank so like if power goes out or something) and i keep one in my tool bag (that i use at work) its only about 6000mah but it works just fine and might get a better bank to replace it in the future, but it works so i see no point in replacing it atm (beyond that it doesnt fast charge). Its nice keeping one around when im out of the house because it does tend to be handy at times in my experience. Though when i was at 3000mah or lower of battery i needed it lots more than i do now, also because cpus in phones have become more power efficient as time progressed.

tl;dr i like to keep a powerbank near me for the times i do need it, which do end up happening
