Question of the Day

The Hoenn gym theme is my favorite! It's just so tense...I love it! I liked the R/S/E version better than the ORAS version though, but it's a good tune in either case.

(Also wow, I just realized we've been doing QotD for 3 months omg :o )

What is your favorite stat-boosting move?

I like Dragon Dance and Curse the most, I think! Curse is really fun because it boosts both Attack and Defense, but lowers Speed, which can make for some interesting strategies. Calm Mind, Cosmic Power, and Quiver Dance deserve a shout out, too. Power-Up Punch and Flame Charge are also both great moves to boost stats while simultaneously dealing damage.

What is your favorite stat-boosting move?

I don't use stat-boosting moves all that often because I don't play competitively. One that comes to mind is Calm Mind. I used to use it sometimes. Stat boosting abilities such as Moxie and Defiant I love though!

What is your favorite stat-boosting move?
Quiver dance because it essential boost offence and defences as well swipes opponent pretty soon, I always keep this move on my volcarona. Sword dance just cool animation and it add nice power boost, dragon dance for easier swiping, Coil gives accuracy just like Hone claw, but add protection layer.

Oh and. Geomancy, it surprisingly boost just like quiver dance, but whole new lead

Question of the Day

Which generation has your favorite Gym Leader battle theme?

ORAS' Gym leader battle theme and Unova's B2W2 Gym leader battle Theme as a close second.

@Sopheria: You do get access to Mankey and the Nidos early, and they can use some moves strong against him.

Which generation has your favorite Gym Leader battle theme?

I always loved X/Y's for some reason. It sounds like something so different for a Gym Leader battle, and I do like a bit of a change-up every now and then.

Obviously, when you first heard the theme, you told me it is EDM. XD

Question of the Day

What is your favorite stat-boosting move?

Swords Dance, it can be deadly when paired with a priority move!

What is your favorite stat-boosting move?

Quiver Dance. Boosting your speed and special stats can make you pretty damn overpowered, especially Vivillon with its Compound Eyes-boosted Hurricanes and Lilligant with her powerful Grass-type attacks.

Yes, so much this. :D Quiver Dance is super useful. I also really like Swords Dance for lethal attackers like Sandshrew and Leafeon.

Swords Dance even though I don't use it, but Calm Mind and Quiver Dance are great too.

Dragon Dance, definitely, as it could be pretty useful for physical attackers that are able to learn this move. A good example of this would be Gyarados. As for second, it's Outrage.

Tough choice between Dragon Dance, Swords Dance and Calm Mind...but I'm going with Swords Dance.

I'll probably answer newer ones later, but there are two I want to do now.

What Pokemon game have you replayed the most?

I don't even know. Maybe DP back in 2007/2008, or RS in 2003/2004. But I know i've played through B2W2 and XY so many times.

Which gym leader or Elite Four member did you find the most difficult?

I'm not gonna go through the generic answers like Whitney, so I have to give mention to Fantina in Platinum. That Mismagius is just awful. (Yet in my Wedlocke, I managed to get extremely lucky against it.)

What is your favorite stat-boosting move?

I think Swords Dance or Dragon Dance. They allow Pokémon to get some good power going for them. Maybe Cotton Guard, as defense boosting moves tend to be overlooked.

Gonna go with Shell Smash too! Let Cloyster set it up, and nothing stops it. It does lower stats too though, so if strictly speaking I had to choose a move that boosts with no negative side effects, it's Tail Glow, for sure. Special attack boosted by 3 stages in just one turn? It's amazing. It makes Manaphy an absolute beast, but sadly it doesn't do the same for Volbeat :c

So! Here's something that actually came up in the Volcanion announcement thread and opinions were varied, so this will make a good question for today!

Do you think Volcanion should get a Mega/alternate forme?

Do you think Volcanion should get a Mega/alternate forme?

Considering its counterparts (or seemingly so) have gotten some kind of other forme, it would make sense for it to get one as well.

Do you think Volcanion should get a Mega/alternate forme?
I feel it should. Its partners--Diancie and Hoopa--do have an alternate form, so in my opinion, it'd make sense for Volcanion to have one as well.

It should have different form like Hoopa, but not mega evolve like Diancie

I would think it will get something along those lines to make it different, but i'm just not sure how it would be pictured.

I'm more inclined to think it'll get an alternate forme, because the other Mythical Pokemon got them. But at the same time, I don't think it necessarily needs one, since the basic forme seems like it'll be pretty powerful as it is!

A Chlorophyll Leafeon with Swords Dance is deadly under the sun!

I was expecting you to write Salamence, a Moxie Salamence in particular, for no real reason, haha.

Maybe a Special offensive move with priority is able to save the firefly for a bit?

The answer for the Volcanion topic is a hell yes, it would be odd to left out Volcanion without an alternative form. The real question is, how creative can they get when it comes to its forme changing method? Let's not forget the important things -- the improvement of its stats, as well as the aesthetic of its alternative form!

Which generation do you feel had the most difficult Victory Road?

XY and B2W2 have the most difficult Victory Road to date, due to the diversity options of the NPC Trainers, as well as the amount of the strong trainers! It's a bit ironic that XY has the weakest Elite Four to date though.
