run-ins with the police/the legal system

do you have some history there?

kinda. but mostly issues that other peoples' actions have pulled me into as opposed to me getting in trouble by myself.

stuff like getting driven around in a stolen car for example
by a driver who, as it turns out, was quite drunk

and similar, uh, mishaps

of course i'm a long way off spotless myself but i've never got into real trouble for my shenanigans

i got pulled over for texting while driving which lead to me getting breathalyzed at 9 in the morning. charmed my way out with just a warning.

There was one time when I had my drivers' permit and my dad was teaching me. At one point the police was behind us and I pulled over, then showed them my drivers' permit. I think it's because the officer thought I looked too young to drive even though I was in college haha. Otherwise, no where I broke some kind of law and that sort.

Does my mom calling the police on my dad when I was a kid count? I met cops but never been the one in the crime.

I've been caught smoking weed twice which just resulted in the weed being taken away

aka i have nothing to make a good story out of

squints @ rika...makin urself seem suspicious

Let's see. I've been pulled over while driving four times for various things, but only got a ticket once. And I've been to parties where the cops were called and showed up but lol. Nothing I have had to deal with personally. Worst I've done is driving 82 in a 50. The area SHOULD be a 60 or 65 honestly. But that doesn't help me much does it lol.

once my friends and i got pulled over (I wasn't driving, but i was a passenger) and told off by a policeman for acting suspiciously and being unsafe.

..........we were stopped at the side of the road at 1am taking down a gym in pokemon go. :(

An officer once stopped me as I was taking my usual walks at night and randomly frisked me and when I asked why he said it was for "training".

I wasn't sure whether to feel violated or whether his reasoning was legitimate.

As far as I know, usually cops train on other cops, not on unsuspecting civilians, so....

this is kind of a funny story, i guess. during my freshman year of high school, my friends and i were super into homestuck. for 4/13 (which is the anniversary of the webcomic), my friends heard about this homestuck cosplay meet up that was going on at the local mall from some people at school. we all decided to don our cosplays and various homestuck merch and go to the meet up. the people who were setting up the event strictly told people who were cosplaying trolls: no gray face paint and no horns. however, many people broke this rule.

we all walked together around the mall in a big group, going through various shops and eating lunch at the food court. considering i live in the southern united states in a rather conservative area, we got some weird looks. everything seemed fine and dandy despite some odd stares, but as we exited a store, a security guard/cop came towards us and asked who we were and who started/was the host of the event. we explained we were cosplayers/fans of a web series and just hanging out, however, the cops thought we were a cult. they told us we had to leave the mall. we all sighed and got frustrated but did as we were told. we then walked out of the mall and hung around the parking lot figuring out where we should go/what we should do now that we had gotten kicked out. a cop car then pulled up. the policeman that came out told us we had to leave the actual mall property or we would be arrested for "loitering" as they put it. this led to everyone having to call their parents to come pick them up/drive home. we had heard later that some people had refused to leave and did actually get arrested.

idk, it was pretty silly. none of us were doing anything wrong as far as i was concerned. we didn't vandalize anything, no one stole anything or made a huge ruckus. i guess it was just because we were dressed in funky costumes. i wouldn't advise going to a public place in cosplay unless theres a con or something nearby. anyway, that's the only run in with the police i've had.
